We choose you, Detective Pikachu!
Despite debuting way back in 1995, Pokémon is currently at the peak of its popularity thanks to Pokémon Go.
The Niantic augmented reality app already has more daily users than every other social media service, which perfectly exemplifies why we're not shocked that a live-action Pokémon movie is officially a go!
That's right, nerds! Legendary Entertainment will be teaming up with The Pokémon Company to create a feature-length adaptation of their newest video game, Detective Pikachu, with production starting as early as 2017.
While there's no direct relation between Pokémon Go and the new movie… it cannot be a coincidence that the project was announced just two weeks after the game's American release and subsequent 25 percent jump in stock for Nintendo.
There's no word on casting just yet… but we think it's safe to say Danny DeVito is the clear choice to voice Pikachu, right?!
Plus, Universal will be handling the distribution rights for the fast-tracked film, so hopefully that means even more IRL Pokémon when Universal Studios eventually opens Nintendo Land!
Which of Ash's adventures do U want to see continue the live-action franchise next??

Tell it like it is, Danny DeVito!
The actor spoke to the Associated Press while he was at the Sundance Film Festival on Saturday, and he got very candid about how much of a problem he thought it was for the Oscars to fail to nominate people of color for their awards this year.
DeVito, joined by fellow actors Don Cheadle and Sam Neill, can be seen (below) very openly talking about race in America, and where the Academy Awards got it wrong:
While she appeared on all the programs to help promote her upcoming talk show Kocktails With Khloé, when she was on Jimmy Fallon's show, there was no way she wasn't going to play a game.
Luckily for us, Jimmy also had Danny DeVito and Norman Reedus stop by, so the whole group played an AH-Mazing game of charades!

Talk about HIGHlarious!
The It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia star stopped by the Tonight Show and like a champ — threw on an inflatable suit and accepted a flip cup challenge!
Did someone say flip-flip-Flipadelphia?! HA!
It's definitely not as easy as it looks and you'll be shocked to learn which flip-cup pro came out on top.
Ch-ch-check out the duo go head-to-head in this epic game (above)!
He's totally hilarious but more importantly, he has a #Trollfoot.
If you're not familiar with Danny's Twitter, he often shares pictures of his one foot in different locations and hashtags it his #Trollfoot.
It's a pretty simple art project for Danny. He just lives his life and sometimes, pulls his bare foot out and takes a photo of it against a nice background.
Well he may have just snapped his best #Trollfoot pic EVER while on The Tonight Show!
Yup, you might've already guessed it… Jimmy Fallon posed with the #Trollfoot!!
Check out the video (above) to see just how close Jimmy Fallon is willing to get to Danny DeVito's bare #Trollfoot!! Also, get a look at the infamous pic (below)!!
Can you believe Mean Girls is more than ten years old?!
We can't either, considering how the insanely quotable Lindsay Lohan blockbuster still holds up to this day!
In this EXCLUSIVE clip, we caught up with Daniel Franzese — who played gay classmate Damian — at the Global Green USA's 12th Annual Pre-Oscar Party on Wednesday, where he told us his favorite throwback memories from set!
And boy, did he give us a #TBT mouthful!
What are his top three quotes from the film? Did he steal any items from the shoot? And what about his Danny DeVito bathroom scene?
To find out the juicy answers to these pressing questions, plus some killer advice from comedic goddess Amy Poehler, ch-ch-check out the clip (above!)
