Hmm... Where have we heard this before...
And the saga continues…
As we reported in October, JonBenét Ramsey's brother Burke filed a $150 million lawsuit against Dr. Werner Spitz who claimed in a radio interview with CBS Detroit that Burke "bludgeoned" his sister to death.
Earlier this week, the doctor filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit altogether.
However, Burke is refusing to stay silent. According to his lawyers:
We can't say we're too surprised Dr. Phil is catching some controversy for this one.
Following Dr. Phil's interview with actress Shelley Duvall, fans and Stanley Kubrick's daughter Vivian Kubrick called the therapist out for "exploiting" the situation.
For those who don't know, Stanley directed Shelley in The Shining. It only makes sense that Vivian would have a strong instinct to protect Duvall, who is clearly suffering from extreme mental duress.
In a pointed note to Phil, Kubrick BLASTED him for his "appalling" lack of desire to actually help the troubled star. It's clear Viv felt the episode was intended to garner ratings rather than meaningful therapy for the icon.
Check out Vivian's searing note (below)!
This is just awful!
In 1980, Shelley Duvall was a movie star, with lead roles in The Shining and Popeye. Today, she needs help from Dr. Phil.
In a sneak peek at their shocking conversation, the 67-year-old actress — who hasn't appeared in a film in over 14 years — tells the doc some disturbing things.
For instance, she doesn't believe her Popeye costar Robin Williams is really dead — and that she's seen him since his supposed passing.
See the heartbreaking clip (below) before the full interview airs on Friday.
This case only gets more and more suspicious…
But a day before the highly-anticipated interview aired, producers announced the episode would be pulled and postponed to a later date!
This last minute switch-up didn't sit well with the family of John Stevens and Michelle Mischon — who Harrouff allegedly stabbed to death in August before trying to eat one victim's face.
John Stevens, son of the deceased John Stevens, questions why the daytime talk show decided to pull the episode just days before a grand jury is called together in the two first-degree murder cases.
Based on a snippet he heard from the interview, Stevens said the 19-year-old was clearly insane, perhaps a bit too obviously. Speaking to CBS12, he said:
No more conjugal visits for these two…
Unfortunately, the public attention proved fatal for the pair's love life… because they've already ended their engagement after just a matter of days!
According to a Facebook post by Steven's former fiancée Sandra Greenman over the weekend, an upcoming episode of Dr. Phil actually caused the incarcerated icon to call things off with his "golddigger" of a girlfriend:
Multiple documentaries have been revisiting the case in light of its 20th anniversary, but the TV doctor's three-part interview with JonBenét's brother is getting extra attention due to Burke Ramsey's perplexing demeanor.
Many who watched parts 1 and 2 were quick to notice that Burke was smiling throughout most of the sit down, even when divulging gruesome details about the morning his sister went missing and remembering her funeral.
This caused some to speculate that Burke may have been smiling because he got away with murder, but Dr. Phil defended the 29-year-old during part 3 of the segment — explaining that his smile is nothing more than a "nervous" tick that came from being uncomfortable in front of the cameras!
In the final part of the special, Dr. Phil put the Boulder Police Department on blast — revealing that they leaked false information to the press AND held off on sending evidence that cleared the Ramsey's to the district attorney for MONTHS!

Will they EVER get to the bottom of this?
In the last month, countless documentaries have popped up that have re-examined JonBenét Ramsey's tragic death from over 20 years ago, and last night, CBS aired the first part of their special, The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey!
During the CBS special, which was recently edited from six hours to four, retired FBI profiler Jim Clemente teamed up with Scotland Yard criminal behavior analyst Laura Richards to dig further into the case and answer some questions.
While Yahoo TV has reported that Clemente will NAME A SUSPECT at the conclusion of the special, Sunday night was only part one — but that doesn't mean we didn't get HUGE clues regarding the 911 call, the ransom note, and the overall cause of death!
Ch-ch-check out all of the HIGHlights from last night's special (below) as we wait for part two on Monday!
