Nicole and Charlize To Play a Married Couple in New Movie

nicolecharlize.jpg

Nicole Kidman is set to star alongside Charlize Theron in a movie called The Danish Girl.

It's based on the true story of Danish artists Einar and Greta Wegener.

Nic will play a post-op transexual Einar in the movie. Charlize will play the role of Greta.

According to reports , Einar and Greta's marriage 'took a sharp left turn' after Einar stood in for a female model that Greta was supposed to paint.

Their portraits became wildly popular in 1920s Copenhagen and Greta encouraged her husband to adopt the female guise.

This 'game' led Einer to a metamorphosis and landmark 1931 transsexual operation that 'shocked the world and threatened their love.'

This should be quite inneresting!

Madagascar 2 Is #1 - Family Flick Rules the Box Office Again!

madagascar2.jpg

A family film, that DOESN'T belong to Disney, has claimed this weekend's top box office spot.

DreamWorks' Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa has debuted at #1 at the U.S. box office. By the end of today, Sunday, the movie is expected to bring home $62 million to Steven Spielberg and associates!

There's a load of money to make off kiddies and their parents as we've seen with the chihuahuas, Zefron and his HSM friends and now Madagascar!

Dayum!

The Paul Rudd/Stifler/McLovin flick Role Models rolls into the #2 position for this weekend's race. They're expected to add $19 million to Universal's bank account by the end of Sunday.

And rounding out the top three is High School Musical 3. Zefron's picture made another $9 million for the Mouse this weekend.

This fall movie going season has been all about the kiddies!

Spielberg and Will Smith Teaming Up

stevenwil.jpg

Variety reports that Steven Spielberg has been waiting years for the 'perfect' project to do with Will Smith, and he just might have found it!

The two are reportedly in early discussions to collaborate on an American remake of a Korean flick called Oldboy.

The story centers around a man who gets kidnapped and then held in a shabby cell for 15 years without explanation. He's suddenly released and given money, a cell phone and clothes and is set on a path to discover who destroyed his life so he can take revenge.

Will would play the kidnapped man with Spielberg directing.

Sounds kinda interesting!

Steve Carell To Star In A Movie About Beaver

beaver-clever.jpg

So one of the hottest scripts floating around the Hollywood movie market is about a beaver.

No, it's not a porn.

It's a "whimsical" movie about a man who walks around with a beaver puppet on his hand (Heehee!) that is being described as a mix between Being John Malkovich and Lars and the Real Girl. Anonymous Content - who picked up the script by first-timer Kyle Killen - has Steve Carell attached to the script.

Though many studios are interested, Anonymous is holding out until they have a director attached as well.

What's next? A Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood movie?

SJPeePee Publicly Bitch Slaps Kim Cattrall

peepeekc.jpg

Kim Cattrall stepped out of order and Sarah Jessica Parker used the media to get her back in line.

On Thursday, Kim sent Sex and the City fanatics into a tizzy when she told a BBC show that SATC II was totally a-go, “We will do the sequel next summer…(it's been) difficult getting everybody who’s so incredibly busy all together at the same time.”

Later in the day, the SATC queen poo bah, SJPeePee, shot back in a statement, “I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done. With ‘the wind on our heels,’ we hope to make it a reality."

K.C. should've checked with PeePee before she opened her mouth!

Obama Stars In An HBO Movie

presidentobama__opt1.jpg

With the recent election of Barack Obama as our new President, it was only a matter of time before they started to make movies about him.

And as it turns out, HBO has just closed a seven-figure deal for the U.S. right to a Barack documentary.

The still untitled piece will be produced by actor Edward Norton.

It seems Edward's Class 5 Films had approached the Obama campaign back in 2006 about creating a documentary chronicling his history in politics.

Directors were also granted access to film Obama before he launched his presidential campaign in 2007 and continued filming all the way through his victory this Tuesday.

Norton said, "Senator Obama's history-making race for the White House has given our film a perfect framework to explore the pulse of the country at this vital moment in our history."

As for HBO, they plan to air the documentary next year.

Can't wait to watch.

Jessica A Genius?

albagenius.jpg

As we mentioned to you back in September, some idiots actually hired Jessica "Don't Call Me Latina" Alba to star in a new film.

Alba will star in An Invisible Sign Of My Own, which centers on a young woman, Mona Gray, who has retreated from the world and everyone around her and is completely consumed by numbers and math.

Things then begin to change after she becomes a second-grade math teacher.

Someone needs to get a new casting company though.

We doubt anyone will believe Alba is really a genius.

And just yesterday, Alba was spotted on set filming for the flick in Brooklyn.

Seriously, are they trying to make her seem "special"?

This isn't going to be like Rain Man is it?

Jack Black Is A Giant

wenn2131911.jpg

Looks like Jack Black is back to work after making Kung Fu Panda.

The funny man is set to star in Fox's remake of the classic story, Gulliver's Travels.

The film will be directed by Rob Letterman.

It will center around the travel writer Lemuel Gulliver, played by Black, who is on assignment in Bermuda.

He then finds himself as a giant among the tiny inhabitants of the secret island, Lilliput.

Filming will start next March.

Let's hope he does a good job. A lot of people loved Gulliver's Travels.

Don't mess it up!

Robert Downey Jr. Speaks Out About the Iron Man Switch-a-roo

iron-man.jpg

Amid all the Iron Man rumors and speculations regarding the Terrence Howard-for-Don Cheadle, cast and crew has managed to remain mum, leaving fans to devise their own reactions and theories.

In an interview with MTV News, the film's star Robert Downy Jr. finally commented on the situation.

But the usually outspoken actor was cautious to not say too much.

"I had nothing to do with that decision. I love Terrence very very much. That’s all I’ll say because I haven’t talked to him yet." He adds, "I’ve always admired Don [Cheadle]. It’s one of those situations where I still don’t quite know what happened or why. Here’s what happens too: things happen and you wind up commenting on them before you’ve actually talked to the people and it’s in poor taste."

Focusing his attention on the burgeoning franchise, Downey reassures fans that director Jon Favreau wants only to make the best films he can.

"We’ve just got to keep rolling up our sleeves higher and further up the elbow. If we show up and we’re in the right head space and our heart’s in the right spot and we really think about the audience at every turn and we don’t try to stamp our hipness onto anything. It’s very interactive."

Yup, we're sure they also have to roll up their sleeves to carry their money bags to the bank.
