After months of anticipation, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is officially opening this weekend!!
It appears so! We're happy to report that the eight story in the Hogwarts saga is receiving riddikulus-ly positive reviews!
The London production — which officially opens at the Palace Theatre on Saturday — is already being hailed as a "thrilling theatrical endeavor" that utilizes practical stage effects to engage the audience with whimsical spells that put them right inside Hogwarts!
Of course, every critic had his or her own minor issue — but across the board, the play was praised for its story, set design, cast performance, and just about anything else you can think of!
Ch-ch-check out our spoiler-free review roundup (below)!
The actress was beaming with delight on Wednesday when she went to see J.K. Rowling's London-based stage play — and got to meet the woman taking over her role as Hermione Granger!
After the performance, Watson went backstage to meet her "older self" Noma Dumezweni, and was totally smitten with the actress!
The 26-year-old posted a bunch of photos with the cast on Facebook, and praised Dumezweni's performance as the adult Hermione (the play takes place 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows)!
Thankfully, HP fans can breathe easy knowing Watson thought the play as was "AMAZING," writing in the caption:
Tom Felton is trading in his magic wand for a superhero cape!
Well, kind of.
On Thursday, it was confirmed that the Harry Potter villain would be joining The Flash's third season as a series regular!
On The CW show, the blonde babe will be playing Julian Dorn, another CSI working alongside Grant Gustin's character Barry Allen.
Apparently, the new addition to the Central City Police Department is suspicious of his superhero coworker! Uh-oh!
But, we don't know yet if Julian will be a bad guy like Draco Malfoy!
We guess you'll have to tune in when season three of The Flash premieres on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW to find out!
Will U be watching?!
J.K. Rowling is something of a beast herself!
According to Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them director David Yates, the impressive author has already penned the film's sequel — an especially amazing feat considering the first movie is MONTHS away from its November 18 release date.
Well, we can't say we're complaining! Keep those screenplays coming, girl!
To make matters even better for Potterverse fans, Mr. Yates went on to tell GSN that the writer already has ideas for a THIRD installment:
When's the movie coming?! LOLz!
In all seriousness, the HPatCC play is probably going to be a HUGE hit, so OF COURSE we'll have a film version eventually.
But would OG HP Daniel Radcliffe return as our favorite wizard?!
Well the young Brit recently sat down for an interview with Radio Times and dished on what it would take to come back to the character saying:
Daniel Radcliffe is an old pro at plugging a movie.
So when he made his big U.S. TV debut, he told the other guest — who happened to be reality TV star and future presidential candidate Donald Trump — he had no idea what he was doing!
The Donald's advice was about as self-aggrandizing as you might expect…
He told the boy wizard to talk about how cool it was meeting Mr. Trump!
Ch-ch-check out the story of how Harry learned to tell the wrong sort for himself, thanks (below)!
