Isaiah Washington Supports Gay Marriage - For Reals!

isaiahwashington.jpg

Looks like "F" bomb dropper Isaiah Washington is working hard to rehab his image in the gay community.

Washington just made a big donation to the Equality California fund that's working to stop the anti-marriage amendment on the November California ballot.

The former Grey's Anatomy star's famous publicist, Howard Bragman, married his same-sex partner this week. And, in lieu of gifts, Bragman asked his friends and clients to donate to the fund.

The publicist said, “Chuck and I were very touched by his [Isaiah's] generosity and his support of this cause, and we expect many other high-profile contributions. He said wishes us all the best and he supports the rights of others in our community to get married.”

Washington has taken a baby step in the right direction.

Is he trying to buy our affection????

He's Doing It for the Money

isaiah-washington.jpg

Former Grey's Anatomy douchebag cast member Isaiah Washington has filed a complaint with the Screen Actors Guild against his former show.

What ticked off the ill-tempered star???

Well, it seems like ABC used a pic of his sorry ass mug in an episode of Grey's without his permission.

The character played by Washington, Dr. Preston Burke, was featured in a "newspaper article" about the character receiving a prestigious surgeon's award in an episode that first aired on May 9th.

A rep for Washington says, "They (Grey's) have the rights of the character to advance the story, but not the image," then adding that what he expects for his client is a "financial settlement."

So gross.

Grey's should should just kill off his character once and for all!

P.S. He'll be lucky if he gets $10.99 for his picture.

When Will He Go Away???

isaaaaiah.jpg

Star Jones's new law-oriented talk show debuts nest week on CourtTV and one of her first guests? Isaiah Washington.

Ughh. Watching these two together is like having diarrhea and taking a ton of laxatives on top of that!

”[Isaiah is] clearly in the middle of a story that involves law and ethics and values and judgment,” Jones explains to Entertainment Weekly. ”But also, he has a brand-new show that brings up ethical considerations. We're excited about The Bionic Woman, but there are ethical considerations [there] because we in our technology right now are moving to replacing limbs, and we're moving in the whole area of stem cell research, we're moving in the area of cloning and whether or not it can actually be done with a human. And in reality, that's what you're doing with The Bionic Woman, you're playing God. And so I get an opportunity to talk about those kinds of issues.”

Is anybody going to watch this show???

We smell a bomb and this one smells worse than Big Gay Al's ass!

He Had It Coming!

031407_spn_washington07.jpg

Isaiah Washington deserved to be fired, says Shonda Rhimes.

The Grey's Anatomy creator and executive producer is finally speaking out about the recently fired star.

TV Guide: How difficult was it for you to let Isaiah go, on a personal level?
Shonda Rhimes: It wasn't. It was a decision that was a long time coming, and it felt like it was the right decision for all of us.

So the decision to fire Isaiah was not something that was imposed on you?
Rhimes: The great thing about [ABC Studios head] Mark Pedowitz and [ABC president] Steve McPherson is they never imposed anything on me.

So you agreed with the decision?
Rhimes: Of course I did.

Do you understand that there were people that interpreted this as you turning a homophobic incident into a racial incident?
Rhimes: I do now. Absolutely. But I do think that [specific] discussion was disturbing to me — as disturbing as the entire incident that happened for T.R. and Isaiah.

In retrospect, do you wish you had spoken out sooner about the whole thing?
Rhimes: Here's the thing: I know for you guys it's incredibly frustrating that I didn't say something. And I'm kind of sorry, because I know you guys have stories to tell. For me, the story we have to tell is the story of the show, and my instinct when something like this happened is to sort of close the doors and hunker down with people who are my family and protect them as much as possible. The outside world became far less important to me than those people I work with every day, and making sure that those people I work with are OK. I wasn't worried about the outside world. The outside world's not something that I can control. But the people I work with every day were. And I really was spending my time dealing with that, not dealing with whether or not I should make a statement.

How are things between you and T.R. now?
Rhimes: We're good. I feel like everybody is working really well together. T.R. is doing some amazing work. We're moving forward. We're excited about the stories we're telling this season. It feels like they're fresh…. And we're going with the idea that we want to have a little bit more fun this season.

One of the few fall shows we were actually looking forward to seeing, NBC's remake of the Bionic Woman, has soured us on watching when the show premieres in September.

Why???

They've just hired Isaiah Washington to join the cast.

Bad idea! BAD!

Don't Mess With This Angry Man!

Isaiah Washington was slightly less than thrilled to have his picture taken yesterday.

The divisive actor was spotted at The Grove movie theater in Los Angeles on Monday.

Several of our gays were there and they were giving him the dirty eye!

Isaiah Plays The Race Card

isssaaaaiiiah.jpg

Kudos to Isaiah Washinton for execising his freedom of speech.

If he's trying to gain any sympathy or make himself look good, then he's failing miserably, though.

The actor with homophobic tendencies is profiled in the new issue of Newsweek, in an article entitled "Diary of an Angry Black Man."

He drops some bombs, and unfortunately they blow up IN HIS FACE!

The fired Grey's Anatomy star tells the magazine:

"Patrick [Dempsey] and I had a philosophical disagreement that got out of hand and that I regret a great deal. I said a lot of negative things that were never reported, but there was one word that caught everyone’s attention, particularly someone who wasn’t even in the room with us. It was a fight between two men that shouldn’t have happened. But someone heard the booming voice of a black man and got really scared and that was the beginning of the end for me. I see that now, but I didn’t then."

"I apologized and showed my remorse for what I said and for the pain I caused anyone. If a black man can’t get forgiveness in this country, when so many other people like Robert Downey Jr. and the governor of California get second and third chances … I think that says a lot about race and this country where we stand."

"I thought them sending me meant they actually wanted me to succeed and come out on the other end. There is no rehab for homophobia—that was just some crap being put out by the network. I went into an executive counseling program which many people in this industry know about and go to. They knew what the program was but chose to call it what they wanted to fit their agenda. And more importantly, I volunteered for it because I wanted to understand my fight with Patrick and how it got out of hand like that. I wanted to know what I could do to avoid it happening again."

"Growing up in the South, I wasn’t exposed to as many different lifestyles and personalities as I could have been. And that’s always a problem, because the more you’re exposed, clearly the more you know and understand. My mother had several cross-dressing friends who she sometimes referred to with names I’d never use, but she didn’t know any better. There was no hate, just lack of awareness."

"Well, it didn’t help me on the set that I was a black man who wasn’t a mush-mouth Negro walking around with his head in his hands all the time. I didn’t speak like I’d just left the plantation and that can be a problem for people sometime. I had a person in human resources tell me after this thing played out that 'some people' were afraid of me around the studio. I asked her why, because I’m a 6-foot-1, black man with dark skin and who doesn’t go around saying ‘Yessah, massa sir’ and ‘No sir, massa’ to everyone? It’s nuts when your presence alone can just scare people, and that made me a prime candidate to take the heat in a dysfunctional family.’’

"My mistake was believing that I would get the support from my network and all of my cast mates across the board. My mistake was believing I could correct a wrong with honesty and sincerity. My mistake was thinking black people get second chances. I was wrong on all fronts."

Why is his publicist letting him do all these interviews?????????
