He's not giving up, we'll give him that much!
Jay Z has had a bit of a bumpy road the last month or so with the disappointing launch of his new streaming service, Tidal. But that's not going to stop him from speaking his mind and throwing shade at all his haters!
Last night at Terminal 5 in New York, Young Hov gave an exclusive performance to Tidal subscribers and he didn't disappoint, especially when it came to smack talk. He took some time out during his set to freestyle his thoughts on how his streaming service is all about the music while showing hints of anger and frustration. One of Jay's lines he dropped was:
What kind of gift is fit for a queen?
Oh you know, just a super rare, super cool dragon egg from Game Of Thrones!
Like an actual one! We're talking eggsactly-as-seen-on-TV level!
"Apparently Jay Z bought one for Beyoncé, or something. I don't know."
Okay, so maybe she doesn't know. But if Jay DID grab this eggsellent gift for the mother of
dragons Blue Ivy, then there's a possibility it broke the bank. Or his back. Or both:
"They are really, really, really expensive. And they are really f–king heavy and serious works of art."
If he went through with it, this marks just another of the rapper's pricey purchases in the name of love.
If he didn't, well, it wouldn't be the first time rumors started flying about Jay's elaborate expenses.
And we'd be pretty bummed, too.

Reportedly, at least!
It's been rumored that the musical couple bought a home that was built as a Presbyterian church in the New Orleans' Garden District.
The casa was built in 1927 and boasts 13,292 square feet with 26 foot ceilings and three 1,000 square foot apartments! That's a lot of room for just a family of three!
But hay, at least Blue Ivy can have a room for everything her tiny little heart desires!
The church turned ballet school turned home includes:
On Tuesday, the American Idol winner drove around with Australia's KIISFM radio hosts as a promotion for her upcoming concert down under.
When Beyoncé's Drunk in Love came on the radio — the singer immediately burst into song.
However, the star offered up more than a mini-concert! When asked if she found Bey's husband attractive she answered:
"Yes. Any kind of confident dude is hot, right?"
LOVES it! When asked about Kanye West, the Since U Been Gone performer stated:
"He's a little too confident."
Ha! Nice shade, Kelly.
The adorable celebrity then confessed that she didn't know what "surfbort" meant for a long time.
"I'm so not cool!"
We don't agree! Remember when Kelly took her daughter to her first concert at two-months-old?! Talk about a cool mom.
We're hoping this fangirl confession from the chart topper will result in a beautiful collaboration with the powerhouse couple.

Jay Z is pulling out all the stops to keep Tidal afloat!
Earlier this week, the Holy Grail rapper defended the slow start of his new streaming service in a Twitter rant, reminding us that iTunes wasn't built in a day.
Now, the music mogul announced plans for a "b-sides" concert, featuring songs that haven't been performed in a decade — or ever!
The catch? You have to sign up for Tidal to see it, of course!
The concert, set for May 13 at an "intimate New York City venue," will be live-streamed on Tidal's website for subscribers to see.
Fans can also win tickets to the concert by creating a playlist on Tidal and sharing it on Twitter with hashtag #TIDALXJAYZ!
The winners will be chosen based on the diversity of artists and genres as well as the quality of sequencing — so brush off those mixtaping skills, y'all!

That changed on Sunday afternoon after the Holy Grail rapper prepared the Twitterverse for a "stream of consciousness coming," counting down to an inevitable Twitter rant of #TidalFacts.
Even without the hashtag, it's obvious why the music mogul is speaking out for his company Tidal. The rapper's streaming service is getting washed over by waves of criticism from regular users to fellow artists.
After all the negative press, Tidal has plummeted out of the Top 500 most-downloaded apps, while competitors Pandora and Spotify are at an all time high.
So, the rapper took to the interwebs to remind everyone that Rome (aka iTunes) wasn't built in a day, and he's in it for the long haul!

Parents will do anything to protect their baby.
This week, it's been reported the power couple's album is still underway. And it will be exclusively available on — you guessed it — Tidal!
Fuse host DJ Skee reported on Wednesday that Jay and Bey's record is nearly done and will "be released exclusively" on Jay's streaming service, which promises to be a better royalty deal for artists.
This highly anticipated album might just be what Tidal needs to give it an extra wind, as the company has sunk down out of the US iPhone top 700 download chart since its debut in March!
This joint project with his wife will mark Jay's fifth collaboration album, the most recent being 2011's Watch The Throne with bestie Kanye West — who, by the way, has recently deleted all of his social media support of Tidal. Inneresting…
