At least there is no chance of variety spin-off with this latest tragic reality TV venture.

We had mentioned that some moron network decided it was time Jessica Simpson return to the world of reality television. Well, now it is official.

Jessica will host the docu-series, The Price of Beauty, which will follow the singer, as she treks around the globe in search of what people find beautiful and why. Because if anyone is an authority on beauty…

The shitastic show will premiere on VH1 (where else?!) and Jessica sounds super excited in the statement she realized this morning:

"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I'm sure will be a wild ride."

Now if that sounds like the biggest load of bullshit you've ever heard, READ ON for what the CEO of VH1, Jeff Olde has to say:

"Perhaps more than any other pop culture figure on the radar today, Jessica Simpson has been the target of our obsession with beauty on both sides of the equation. She is a woman who can set trends and create firestorms with a single photo. We could not be more thrilled that Jessica now gets to take control of that conversation and take a look at the idea of beauty through her own unique, unfiltered lens. And we at VH1 are excited to be in the passenger seat next to her as she begins this fantastic journey."

Uh, are we talking about the same Jessica Simpson? The one we are thinking of recently ate her way through a media frenzy over gaining tons and wearing hideous outfits that in no way fit her. Is that one you mean?

CBS has picked up three more editions of celebrity hidden camera show, I Get That a Lot.

The April Fool's Day special featured Heidi Klum, Jeff Probst, Jessica Simpson working low-wage jobs while incognito and tricking unsuspecting patrons.

The network hopes to capitalize on the success of the first episode, which garnered ten million viewers and will begin to air quarterly specials with new celebrities.

Sounds interesting!

We wish they would show the celebrities actually trying to do the job!!!

Who knew Jessica Simpson still had large amounts of money?

She hasn't had a hit record in years, but somehow the blonde "country singer" purchased a speedboat for boyfriend Tony Romo's 29th birthday.

The price tag?

Just a mere $100,000!

The boat is a custom 25-foot Malibu Wakesetter.

Are we sure she didn't get the boat for free or lease it?

According to an inside source, “Jessica knows that Tony has always wanted a boat." Adding that she's "hoping that her birthday gift will lead to marriage, and by this time next year she'll be walking down the aisle with him.”

Yea, maybe if she buys her own ring. And pays for her own wedding.

Jessica Simpson is back ya'll, and she is ready try her hand again at reality TV.

This time around, she and a buddy are going around the nation finding beautiful people and what makes them such. The show, entitled Price of Beauty, was spawned after Jessica's weight troubles and her wish to expose true beauty beyond a waistband.

Snore.

A Simpson rep (probably Joe) confirmed Jessica's involvement with a new project, "but network details have not been finalized at this time."

We're not so sure Jessica should do another reality show. Look what happened after her widely popular stint on Newlyweds. She got a divorce after three seasons and then lost that sweet deal!

With all the ex-swapping that happens in Hollywood, everyone must be a walking petri dish of everyone else's germs!

Cameron Diaz was caught cozying up to Jessica Simpson's ex, Adam Levine over the weekend.

The twosome were spotted having a romantical lunch together at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood on Sunday.

Well, that is a beer gut if we ever saw one!

Jessica Simpson worked her non-baby belly bump at the "Bud & BBQ" festival in San Antonio this past weekend. She might have been enjoying the Bud and BBQ a little too much!

Honey, it's okay to eat the fried chicken. But it's not okay to dress like that!

Will someone please tell her Dukes of Hazzard sucked and she needs to stop dressing like Daisy Duke?

EX-HUSBAND NICK LACHEY, AND WHETHER OR NOT NEWLYWEDS AFFECTED THEIR MARRIAGE:
“I have not spoken to him in years. [As for the show,] in all honesty, I believe it did not affect our marriage. Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish. It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is.”

WHETHER ROMO HAS SEEN NEWLYWEDS:
“A couple episodes. He thought I was cute.”

MEDIA CRITICISM:
“When it comes to media criticism, that’s just something I have had to train myself—literally train myself—to ignore…. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place…. It comes with what I do, and I know that every day the media’s going to challenge me, is going to want to bring me down. But I feel like I’m at such a place that I own myself, and it’s authentic. I own that authentic part of myself, and none of those words are harsh enough to make me believe them…. I can’t imagine saying some of the things people have said about me about anybody else.”

HER RELATIONSHIP WITH HER FATHER, JOE SIMPSON:
“I can talk to my dad like he’s my manager, and put ‘Dad’ on the back burner. We’ve been doing it since I was 13. So, at this point, we’re in a good rhythm. HER EARLY THOUGHTS ON MARRIAGE:
“It was what we all wanted. Go to college, get married, and have babies. It was my way of thinking. At 16, every boyfriend I had I was going to marry.”

WATCHING COWBOYS GAMES WITH THE OTHER PLAYERS’ WIVES:
“It’s a nurturing place to be, around people who love their husbands, but it gives me anxiety to watch with them.”

HER FAITH:
“I’m spiritual. I live off the faith that has been instilled in me, that has never left. I’ve never let a stumbling block actually make me fall…. We all go through trials, but not one thing has ever made me question God. I have a great relationship with God. I can talk to him, get mad at him, frustrated with him. But, ultimately, my faith is what defines me.”
