Awww! How sadsies!!
Phillip Phillips has been busy playing six shows a week, but after being on the road for a while, his health got the best of him, and now, his doctor told him that he needed to chill the heck out!
The American Idol season-11 winner underwent surgery last year for kidney stones, and while he unfortunately has ongoing kidney issues on top of exhaustion and dehydration, he's not at 100% right now.
Musical heartthrob John Mayer underwent surgery last Thursday to treat his throat condition, known as Granuloma.
He had tried alternatives to treat the inflamed nodule near his vocal cord in an effort to avoid an operation, but had no luck, explaining:
"It’s been a very long process in waiting to see if time was an alternative to surgery, but even given two weeks’ voice rest (along with many other approaches), there was no change for the better."
He is now recovering after the successful surgery and is on "complete vocal rest for a month or more." Unfortunately for fans, this means a delay for his upcoming album Born and Raised.
While he's resting his voice, the singer says he's "taking off". More specifically, he plans on "going to travel the country, look, and listen."
We hope this month goes by quick because we can't wait to hear John's new material!

Sting has joined a list of impressive musicians on a charity album to benefiting the victims of Australia's recent tsunami.
The album titled Flood Relief - Artists For The Flood Appeal, features music from Pink, Kings of Leon, Beyoncé, Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and John Mayer, who each donated a track to the three-disc album released yesterday by Sony.
Sting is also touring the country asking fans to donate at his concerts.
It's great to see all these celebs working for a great cause!
