Like Barbara Walters, Katie Couric … and Pitbull! Dale!

As of this week, The Today Show celebrates its 60th anniversary on the air. If we pretend like we could do the math, that's like over 100K hours of television!

An achievement like that deserved a big blow out, which is exactly what it got at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. The biggest names in news were there, many of which are alum of the show over the years. We're talking everyone from Tom Brokaw to Matt Lauer, Ann Curry to Meredith Vieira to the likes of Hugh Downs and Jane Pauley!

Oh, and least us Willard Scott, who's still kicking on the show for over 20 years! Yeah man!

The days of the soap opera could be over, unless more people are watching the online-only episodes than we think.

At the time, we had heard that it was a result of "compatibility complications," but now a source is saying that the REAL reason for the break-up was

But, after being together for five years, we're sure this break-up was one they saw coming months ago.

Katie Couric and Brooks Perlin have called it quits due to what appears to be compatibility complications.

In an interview with Beyonce, Katie Couric tries to get The Queen B to reveal the sex of her baby.

Sure, Kelly Rowland has already hinted that she's having a baby girl, but Katie finds a clever way to get it out of Beyonce by asking her, "Should I get you a pink baby present or a blue baby present?"

Ha!

Beyoncé is set to be the next guest interviewed on 20/20

Katie Couric will interview the multi-platinum selling singer as she discusses her journey.

Topics will range from the beginning of her career with Destiny's Child to her upcoming pregnancy.

The mom to be is also looking as great as ever!

Beyoncé also recently screened her live concert Live at Roseland: The Elements of 4 in New York. She is scheduled to appear on 20/20 December 2nd.

Katie Couric may be filling the void of Oprah Winfrey's timeslot, but she's yet to fill the void left in ad agencies' hearts.

They used to pay $100,000 for a 30 second spot during Oprah. Katie? She'll be lucky to see $50,000. They believe in themselves, though! That's their opening offer.

But let us point out that's more than even Ellen asks for! She only sees $40,000 a spot, and she's arguably the hottest talk show around right now!!!

But we'll wait and see… even though Madison Avenue is somewhat laughing at the number, she does have that coveted timeslot after all.

There will be millions of housewives coming home from picking the kids up around that time. The perfect chance to sell that vibrating mop!
