Shortly after the news that Lauren Conrad's book L.A. Candy will be turned into a movie, folks have started to wonder who would star in it.
When Lauren was asked who'd she like to see in it, only one name came to mind - Lo Bosworth!
Of course! Why wouldn't she want her Hills bestie to be in her movie based on her book based on her completely fabricated docudrama reality series! It only makes perfect sense!
Oh and don't worry, Lo's had formal training. Lauren explains: "I would like Lo Bosworth. Lo has taken a couple of acting classes in her life."
But just a couple. She only needed that to get through her grueling scenes of talking smack about girls behind their back and crying when something unimportant happened on the Hills.
Temple Hill Entertainment, which has the Twilight saga under its belt, has purchased the screen rights to L.A. Candy. The bestselling book follows Jane Roberts, a 19-year old who moves to El Lay, finds fame as a reality star and is forced to deal with the repercussions of fame.
Wonder where she got the idea for that work of fiction?!
And if by repercussions of fame, do you mean the opportunity for a no-talent to publish a book or the looming reveal of your beef curtains?!
"Lauren, who became an icon in that reality show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book," said Temple Hill partner, Marty Bowen. "We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize, wow, this isn't at all what I'd planned for myself."
Her ghost-written book has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for 14 weeks and, unfortunately, we can look forward to two more books from LC.
Although, she may be busy shaping the direction for the upcoming script (aka going about her day).
Spencer Pratt is opening his mouth again saying that "Speidi is Barack and Michelle famous, not Kardashian famous. The fact that USA Today said we're the third most famous couple in the world after Brangelina and The Obamas is amazing."
Really?!
Pratt also goes on to burn former Hills co-stars Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge, saying that they both made huge mistakes for their careers by leaving the show.
He might actually be right about this one. He says of frienemy Lauren:
"Her ego ruined her life and her career — I pray for her every day and we'd all love for her to come back to The Hills when she realizes her move didn't work. She tried to put MTV over a barrel by demanding more money than God."
Point taken.
And Audrina?
"The day she can hold 22 minutes of content with her brain, is the day I'm walking on Mars with no oxygen tank barefoot. Unfortunately, Audrina will have to wake up from that dream soon!"
Ha! He might be King Douche, but he sure makes for some great sound bites!
We all know there's drama and jealousy on the set of MTV's The Hills.
But with this new piece of information leaked, we have a feeling there's gonna be a lot more behind-the-scenes drama.
Turns out the reality TV "stars" are making more per episode than many people make in a year.
But it's not an even scale.
Turns out troublemaker Kristin Cavallariis raking in $90,000 per episode! So you'd think the villains get paid more, right? Wrong. Bring in Spencer Pratt, and he's only making $65,000 per episode.
And that's nothing compared toAudrina Patridge's $100,000 per episode! Or Heidi Montag's close to $100,000 salary. Turns out Spencer is down at $65,000 since he joined only in 2008.
However, the top earner goes to former Hills starLauren Conrad who was racking in $125,000 per episode ($2.5 million a year). Plus her contract demanded that no other star's salary could match hers while she was on the show.
Even selloutBrody Jenner is making some good cash. Jenner makes $45,000 per episode.
And that's what everyone's making not including their side jobs. Like fashion lines, books, music singles, and paid appearances.
Craziness!
Let's hope they're all investing wisely. Some of them will most likely not have another paycheck after The Hills.
According to In Touch, Lauren Conrad will be the recipient of some engagement bling come Christmas.
Rumor has it that her Z list boyfriend Kyle Howard has been out shopping for a ring to propose over the holidays!

It has also been reported that MTV is eager to sign the couple to a reality show documenting their nuptials and beyond.
"Lauren and Kyle have been approached by MTV executives about starring in their own reality series," claims an insider. "It will be about their romance or possibly even their married life."
For shows that depict reality, you can expect a lot of manufactured changes on The Hills and The City come their September 29th premiere.
Liz Gately, senior vice president of MTV series development and executive producer of both shows, fills us in on a few scripted realistic developments.
“Kristin has brought new life to the show,” Gateley said. “She is the same Kristin we know and love — not afraid to mix things up. Her presence has really changed every dynamic within the cast, especially with Audrina [Patridge] and Justin Bobby.”
And now that Speidi are married, they are taking a big step in their relationship!
“Heidi and Spencer are entering some interesting new territory of considering parenthood,” she continued.
The big city life of Whitney Port in NYC has been altered as well!
“A lot has changed in The City,” continued the reality plot maven. “We shifted the focus of the show significantly from a relationship drama to a workplace drama. Olivia has a new job and an amazing new boss at Elle magazine. Whitney is focused a lot more on her work now that she’s single, and Kelly Cutrone — who I love — takes on a much bigger role in the show.”
Gately also mentions that the shooting style changed. There will be less scenes with people sitting and talking and more action. The new season can be compared to "a reality Devil Wears Prada.”
The only difference is that Meryl Streep would rather kill herself than be part of it!
Yeah, we're not sure if Lauren Conrad actually knew the answer to this question.
Yeah, she was on the Millionaire 10th Anniversary Special and she had to answer one question to win money for charity, which was clearly tailored to her personal knowledge, but she still asked the audience, just in case.
Yeah, watch the clip (above) and count how many time she says "yeah".

People will forget about LC if you just stop talking about her!
America's Next Top Model is stepping up their judges to replace ex-judgePaulina Porizkova. The show will feature one guest judge each episode, and two notables are Lauren Conrad and Kim Kardashian.
LC we get because of the fashion line and experience. But Kim? She's not even the most stylish! Though she supposedly used to be a stylist. Kim and LC are probably the best they could do.
ANTM has some new competition with Lifetime's Project Runway spin-off, Models Of The Runway.
