It was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history, and now we know exactly how it happened.

Fans are getting the chance to snag their own part of Whitney Houston's legacy.
As you surely know, the music legend passed away back in 2012 from an accidental drug overdose at the age of 48.
Now, dozens of the New Jersey native's personal items (think: wedding dress, countless awards, jewelry, debit cards, a passport, etc.) are being put up for auction through Heritage Auctions on June 24 and 25.
The sale is even expected to rake in a minimum of $500,000!
Most of the personal items will begin bidding for $500-$1,000, while her gorgeous Marc Bauer wedding gown she wore to say "I do" to Bobby Brown will go for at least $3,500.
Other items from her wardrobe include various red-carpet dresses and a custom leather bomber jacket inscribed with her nickname, "Nippy." Amazing!
Some of the awards that will be up for grabs include: The 1988 American Music Award for I Wanna Dance With Somebody, the multi-platinum plaque from her 1986 debut album, several Grammy nomination certificates, and a 1993 Billboard Music Award for I Will Always Love You.
Garry Shrum, head of Heritage's Entertainment and Music Memorabilia division, dished on working with the Houston family:
"We gave them some ideas, they gave us some ideas, and we came up with this 119-piece collection that's basically a retrospective of Whitney from the beginning. From when she first started singing after she left being a background singer for Chaka Khan and Lou Rawls. We have her passport from the beginning, all these various awards and outfits, all kinds of cool and groovy things."
In case you're looking for a present for us, we wouldn't mind a few of these things… that's for sure!

Selena Gomez's heart wants what it wants — and that's to avoid getting too swept up in emotion on stage!
The pop star's Revival tour kicks off this weekend, and she's could NOT be more excited to perform hits from her latest album — along with a few classics from her old days with The Scene!
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 23-year-old revealed that audiences can expect to hear updated versions of her music, teasing:
Oh, Meek Mill.
The rapper is a week into his 90 day house arrest, and he's already asking the judge for some changes.
ICYMI, Nicki Minaj's beau got in big trouble in November when he failed a drug test after violating his probation for a 2009 drug and gun conviction by attending the American Music Awards without permission. In addition to house arrest, he is also banned from rapping, performing, etc. while serving his sentence. He will only be allowed to participate in charity work for the community.
However, TMZ reports the 28-year-old's lawyers filed an appeal to change his sentence so that he is allowed to record jams.
According to the appeal filed by his attorney Joe Tacopina, Meek has a studio in his home and wants to be able to keep making and putting out music.
Considering he got off easy with this sentencing in the first place (AKA not spending time behind bars), we don't know what to think!
Do U think he should still be able to work while serving time, Perezcious readers?? SOUND OFF in the comments!
Could be worse!
Meek Mill got in big trouble in November when he violated his probation for a 2009 drug and gun conviction by attending the American Music Awards without permission. And it certainly didn't help things when he failed his urine test afterwards…
Despite a heartfelt testimony from his girlfriend Nicki Minaj, the Philadelphia judge still ruled the instance a violation and determined the 28-year-old's punishment on Friday.
The All Eyes On You rapper was sentenced 6 to 12 months house arrest — which might seem bad, but it's a lot better than serving time in county jail. He will do a minimum of 90 days and then the judge will reevaluate.
He is due to turn himself in on March 1st.
Meek is also banned from working (rapping, performing, etc) while serving his sentence. He will only be allowed to participate in charity work for the community.
Sorry, we just got really excited there.

The audience members at Madonna's Taipei, Taiwan concert are the envy of fans everywhere!
That's because on Thursday night's Rebel Heart concert, Madge did the unthinkable and performed her 1994 hit Take a Bow — for the first time EVER in concert!
This mid-tempo pop ballad from her Bedtime Stories was a huge success when it was released, becoming her eleventh No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Since the song isn't the easiest to sing live, the Queen of Pop has only performed it a handful of times — her last public performance was at the 1995 American Music Awards with Babyface.
After Thursday's performance, the singer admitted she "hit a few bad notes, but it felt good to sing it." AH-Mazing!
Hopefully, this means we won't have to wait another two decades for Madge to perform the track again! LOLz!
Ch-ch-check out the historic performance (below)!!!
Charlie Puth is one of the biggest breakout artists of 2015!
If it wasn't the singer's featured vocals on Wiz Khalifa's smash hit See You Again that sealed the deal, it was Charlie's steamy American Music Awards performance with Meghan Trainor — which concluded with the two sucking face on stage!
Despite the two enjoying a nice makeout sesh after performing their duet Marvin Gaye back in November, Puth insisted on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that he and the All About That Bass singer are "best friends"!
On Wednesday's show, the 24-year-old revealed he and Trainor agreed to swap spit at the end of the performance as "a visual aesthetic" for what the song means — a.k.a. getting it on!
That seems like just a fancy excuse for Puth to lock lips with M.Train — and we're totally okay with that!
Ch-ch-check out the clip (below) to hear how the singer ignored Ellen's phone calls when she first discovered him as an artist!
And well, she's shutting down any hope for any Jelena shippers still out there.
"Well, I am sorry, first of all. And honestly, what I would love to be printed is that I am so beyond done with talking about that, and him."
In case you don't remember, Justin was caught singing his heart out to the songstress during a pretty public dinner back in November.
So it sounds like she's totally moved on!
The 23-year-old also got completely honest about what it was like having to perform at the AMAs after that, sharing:
