Marc Jacobs and his new fiancé, Lorenzo Martone, are in Brazil right now promoting the opening of his flagship store there with parties and appearances.

Rumor has it that the soon-to-be-wed couple is planning on adopting a baby girl.

If the rumor is true, bb is going to be the fiercest in the world!

As we mentioned earlier, Marc Jacobs and his boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone, are engaged.

Woo hoo!

And, they're moving things along quite quickly!

Reports now state that the two have already found a house to share together!

One insider says, "Marc and Lorenzo have been looking at downtown properties for a while."

But luckily for them, source claim Jacobs closed the deal yesterday for a West Village townhouse on Bethune Street in New York.

The price? Just a mere $13 million for a 4,500 square-foot townhouse for Marc to live fashionably in with his hunky Brazilian.

The pad also includes a private garden and roof terrace. Nice!

Congrats again to the happy couple.

Congratulations Marc Jacobs!

The fashion legend and his Brazilian boyfriend, Lorenzo Martone, are engaged!

The two have been dating for about a year now and have decided to make it official. They're both currently headed to Brazil to celebrate Jacob's new store there, which opened in January.

Jacobs and Martone, an ad executive, will go public with the news today.

No news has been released on when or where the happy couple plan to get married, but we doubt it will be in California. Cuz, you know, Cali doesn't treat gays as equals.

The economic downturn is sucking all the fun out of Marc Jacobs!

It forced him to cancel his 2008 holiday party and now it's impacting how he'll be doing things at the upcoming NY Fashion Week.

For starters, there will be no MJ Fashion Week after-party, which has always been one of the fashion set's most anticipated events.

And, he'll also scale backhis fashion show guest list.

Only 700 people will get invites this year. In years past the guest list total would get up to 2000!

Marc's bearer of bad news, his business partner, Robert Duffy, told the media:

"This isn't the time to spend the money to entertain the entire world…. Everybody thinks it costs the same money to entertain 500 people as opposed to 2,000 [when you've got the space]. It doesn't. All those 2,000 people still need to be seated, they still need to check in, this one needs this, that one needs that, and you know what? It's very costly."

He also said that he and Marc would rather scale things back at Fashion Week than do lay offs.

We applaud that reason!
