You’re never too old to play dress up!

Even if you’re a queen diva on American Idol, because Mariah Carey was definitely feelin’ herself when she left to go judge the show on Thursday.

The singer posted this pic to Instagram (above) with the caption:

Gurlfriend gives herself blowouts! Can't ask for a more sensible person than that, right?

It's not like she's one of the most famous pop stars on the planet or anything.

MiMi took her to her Twitter and Instagram and posted the (above) photo of her blow drying HER OWN HAIR.

Yes, that's right, who needs to hire makeup person and hairstylists when you can just DIY!

Not only that, but she also added the caption, "beauty school dropout" lol."

Believe it or not, Mariah actually completed 500 hours of beauty school lessons before becoming THE VOICE. Amazing, right?

Her hair looks FAB! And so does she, BTW! Whatever she's doing, she needs to keep doing it. 43 never looked so good!

Okay, so we told you that Mariah Carey's new fragrance Dreams is said to have hints of, "salted caramel, bergamot and toasted almonds, as well as base notes of patchouli and Madagascar vanilla."

Well, turns out all those interesting scents conjure up a scent similar to what it would smell like

GASP!!! This is a fashion faux pas of diva proportions!

Mariah Carey, being the true professional she is, celebrated her birthday on the set of American Idol last night.

The birthday princess was all smiles in a bright orange flared party dress, that is until Nicki Minaj sat down wearing a curve-hugging frock that was practically the same color!!!

It's like Mariah and Whitney at the 1998 VMAs 2.0!!!

Unfortunately Luckily both dresses escaped the taping unharmed and fully intact, as did their weaves.

We have a feeling Mariah's glam squad is firing off rapid texts to Her Minajesty's peeps to make sure this never happens again.

Looking this good is simple, if you’re Mariah Carey, who looked elegantly seksi at the American Idol finalists party at The Grove in El Lay on Thursday.

She donned a black lace dress which put her toned stems on display, making her peep toe even HAWTter.

There was also a lot of diamond jewels, but it’s Mariah so bling is to be expected!

What a gorgeous ensemble to party in with AI's finalists!

Mariah Carey was all the synonyms of FIERCE at the American Idol taping on Thursday in a spectacular white Roland Mouret dress cinched at the waist with an Azzedine Alaia belt.

Girl, you still GOT IT!

The diva's stylist also put her in some gorgeous jewels of her own design and Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps.

But what really nails it is Mariah's total primadonna pose.

Can't you just hear her saying DAH-ling in that honeyed voice? Ha!
