Matt Damon Pulls Out Of Charity Event For Family Emergency

wenn2584883md.jpg

Oh, no!

Actor Matt Damon had to pull out of hosting the Second Annual OneXOne Fundraiser, a children's health charity, in San Francisco because of a "family emergency of a serious nature."

Indeed Damon was spotted in his hometown of Boston with his wife Luciana and their daughters Alexia, Isabella and Gia.

We hope everything turns out okay!

Matt Damon Loves Some Tittay Action!

mattwenn2602605.jpg

We wouldn't think anyone would be ballsy enough to bring their wife to a strip club.

Then again, maybe we shouldn't put anything past Matt Damon!

Matt is in NYC filming his new movie The Adjustment Bureau. He took the evening off to unwind recently and headed to the Hustler Club on 12th. He brought two of his buddies plus another woman plus someone "all the dancers said was his wife, Luciana."

A source says the group "got there after 11 p.m. and stayed for 2½ hours. He bought dances for his friends. His wife was dancing for him. The club normally doesn't allow civilians to dance, but they made an exception for him."

Classy! Every girl's dream - marry an actor and be brought down a peg in public!

Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Are Cousins!

wenn5319769ba.jpg

Tenth cousins once removed that is!

The New England Genealogical Society has revealed that the two Hollywood pals from Boston, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, are descendants of William Knowlton, Jr., a bricklayer from England who settled in the US in the 1630s.

Affleck is also distantly related to President Barack Obama and the late Princess Diana!

Presidential and royal blood? Not too shabby, Ben!

Stars Without Makeup

John Krasinsky's finace, British actress Emily Blunt, was spotted yesterday on the set of her latest flick, The Adjustment Bureau, co-starring Matt Damon.

The recently engaged actress and Damon were filming on location at Rockefeller Plaza in New York.

Though we're guessing Emily might have been on the way to the makeup room or she was deliberately sporting the makeup-free look.

She looks pretty darn cute with little to no makeup!

What do U think of Blunt's bare look?

Matt Damon Loves Liberace

wenn5353720matt.jpg

Though it has been rumored for almost a year of his involvement with the project, it has finally been confirmed that Matt Damon will be featured in Steven Soderbergh's new Liberace biopic in the role of Scott Thorsen, a lover of Liberace’s.

The news was confirmed by the director himself, saying that Matt accepted "the challenge." Michael Douglas will be playing the iconic Liberace and Steven reveals that he has already gone into fittings for his flamboyant costumes.

The film is said to be focusing on the palimony suit in 1982 which forced Liberace to come out of the closet. Matt's character is actually the one who outs the flamboyant pianist.

It's a stretch for Matt, but in a good way. We think he could handle it. Maybe.

What do U think?

Quote Of The Day

wenn5329481.jpg

"I assume it can happen, but we have to come up with a story line that's deserving. I mean, if you see the Bourne character come out and say, "I can't remember" again, you're going to get up and walk out of the theatre. Its like, "Get over it, buddy - its been three movies. What the fuck!"

Matt Damon Announces New Good Deed

mattwater2342.jpg

We like to see celebrities lending a helping hand!

Matt Damon has announced a new non-profit organization he has co-created called Water.org. This program seeks to provide safe, clean water access to nearly 890 million people and help out more than 2.5 billion people who aren't fortunate enough to have safe water sanitation.

The actor and humanitarian partnered with Gary White, the head of WaterPartners, to create this organization. Matt explains the importance of the program by saying, "Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I've seen the problem and the impact of safe water."

Good work fellas. A noble cause.

If you want to learn more about Water.org , please click HERE.

Is a shirtless ad a good way to promote the cause????

We think so!

Lance Armstrong Biopic In The Works

wenn-lancearm.jpg

Columbia Pictures is forging ahead too immortalize Lance Armstrong in an epic biofilm. The project has been slow-going, but a recent addition may just breathe new excitement into it. Writer of such great films as Seabiscuit, Gary Ross has been hired to pen the script.

As for who will portray the iconic bicyclist, the latest rumor is Matt Damon, though no official casting has begun on the pic.

If you're looking to get a Lance Armstrong fix before the big flick, you might want to check in with the Tour de France next month, as Lance has come out of retirement to try for his eighth win of the tournament.

Maybe it's just us, but we think it might be too soon to be thinking about an Armstrong epic. He's not that old and could do something super cool while the movie is being made. Then what?

Place on the back burner, if you ask us.

Matt Damon Turned Down Star Trek

wenn-pin-damon.jpg

Star Trek director J. J. Abrams recently revealed that he had originally asked Matt Damon to star as Captain Kirk in his remake, but the actor turned him down.

But Abrams recognizes that "things happen for a reason" and Damon's rejection opened up opportunities for lesser known actors, which has so far proved a successful maneuver because "It is fun to discover the stars of tomorrow, but even more so, just like with the first Star Wars, you didn't know who those people were when you saw the movie. You believed that guy was Luke Skywalker. You didn't recognize him from six other movies. You bought into who this guy was. It is a slippery slope when you cast any actor that is somewhat known. We weren't beholden to any fame meter.”

It also helps that Chris Pine is a totally hot alternative!
