As we mentioned last month, the two surfers that attacked photogs taking shots of Matthew McConaughey are facing assault charges.

The two Malibu beach locals, Skylar Peak and Philip John Hildebrand, attacked the paparazzi back in June after the photogs would not stop snapping pics of Mateo surfing.

They were both charged with one misdemeanor count of battery for attacking the pap. And each faces up to six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.

But, the two surfers have just pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor battery charges for allegedly "throwing a photographer into the water as he tried to shoot pictures of Matthew McConaughey on the waves."

One of the photogs, Richid Altmbareckouhammou, told the authorities that he was attacked.

He says his camera was thrown into the ocean by the two surfers after they told him to put his camera away.

A pretrial hearing has been set for January 14th.

They're buff and they don't stay that way by sitting at home and having BBQs!

Texas boys Lance Armstrong and Mateo McConogay took part in the Human 10k race in Austin this past weekend.

Lance was all in yellow - the color of his Livestrong foundation - even though everyone was wearing red.

And Matthew brought along gal pal Camila and their new son Levi.

Matthew McConaughey isn't the only fame-seeker in his family!

His mom, Kay McConaughey, has just released her new book, I Amaze Myself.

How amazing!

In the book, she talks about her son's conception. Yea, Cause we really care to read that.

She says she got pregnant with Matthew shortly after marrying his dad for the third time. Third time????

Kay recalls, “I was deciding, ‘Do I want to have another baby? Do I want to have an affair? Or go back to school?’. That’s when Matthew was conceived. We had tried for 16 years and no baby. So Matthew was a big surprise!”

And then the sex-loving mom drops a bombshell.

She says back in 1992, her husband died while they were having sex!

The 77 year old Kay recalls, “On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him. Just nothing."

How sad….and unusual!

She adds, "But it was just the best way to go!”

Not too sure how we feel about knowing that. But, here's the really weird part. When she realized she couldn't revive him and that her husband was dead, Momma McConogay didn't bother to cover him up.

She let the paramedics take him naked.

She says, “I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift."

We're trying to erase the mental picture from our mind.

She also adds, “I would love to be on Oprah!”

And now we know why she wrote the book!

Who DOESN'T wanna be on Oprah???? Well, besides Stedman Graham!

Boho mania!

In an interview with CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Matthew McConaughey revealed that he and baby momma Camila Alves kept the placenta from the July birth of son, Levi AND the family plans to plant it in an orchard.

Apparently, placenta land fertilization is a tradition in several cultures.

Wow. You learn something new every day!

Mateo said, "It's going to be in the orchards and it's going to bear some wonderful fruit. When I was in Australia, they had a placenta tree that was on the river … and all the placentas of all that tribe, all that clan, whatever aboriginal tribe that was, all the placentas went under that one tree and it was this huge behemoth of just health and strength. This tree was just growing taller and stronger above the rest of Mother Nature around it. It was gorgeous."

It also looks like McConaughey and Alves have adopted some unconventional approaches to parenting. At one month old they've started introducing baby Levi to the "sights and the sounds" of the world — including a John Mellencamp concert and the paparazzi madness of LA's Robertson Boulevard!

"You're never told in our house, 'Shh, Levi is sleeping.' No. Get used to the ambiance. Come with us. That's how I was raised," says the bongo playing daddy.

Fascinating.

Wouldn't it be funny if Levi grew up to be a totally tightly wound nerdy boy instead of free spirited earth child?

He's burnt and leathery…just like a purse!

So, it would only make sense that he inspired his girlfriend to come out with her own handbag line, right???

Well, whatever the impetus, we're sure Mateo is happy that the babymomma is not a golddigger.

Camila Alves is adding designer to her resume.

The pretty Brazilian model and her man attended the launch for her new purse line, Muxo, at Kitson Studio in Beverly Hills on Thursday night.

The pair even brought their newborn son along, Levi, but they had a nanny bring him in and kept him covered from the photogs.

OK! magazine smoked its competition this year and scored three celeb baby exclusives in a row this summer.

Jamie Lynn Spears and baby Maddie graced the July 21st issue, Jessica "Don't Call Me Latina" Alba and Honor Marie were on the cover of the July 24th mag and Matthew McConaughey and babe Levi strutted their stuff on the August 4th cover.

According to the NY Post, the early estimates suggest that the issues sold well above the average, but with the exception of Jamie Lynn Spears, probably did not offset the prices paid by the magazine to snag the stars' babies.

Ha! Little Spears beat Alba!

The Jamie Lynn issue sold an estimated 750,000 copies on newsstands.

OK! was said to have paid $1 million to first break the news that she was pregnant, followed by the baby photo.

We're sure the Brangelina Wonder Twins issue will shatter all 'baby exclusive' sales records! Those pics went to a diff mag.
