Arrested Development Movie Looking Doubtful?!

arrested-development.jpg

So sad!

Although the Arrested Development movie was pretty much confirmed, it turns out that our dream of once again visiting the Bluth Frozen Banana Stand, may be crushed!

Executive producer Mitch Hurwitz was hesitant to begin writing the script as he did not know which cast members would return, but when Michael Cera signed on in February, the process was to begin!

"I don't think Mitch is gonna do it," says an insider, who believes that the producer has not begun writing. "It seems like he's moving off the idea. So much time has passed."

Hurwitz has been busy with several pilot projects, including the animated disaster Sit Down, Shut Up and the hopeful comedy with Arrested alum Will Arnett.

We have one priority: Save the Bluths!

Charlyne And Michael Never Dated

charlyneyi.jpg

Interesting!

Earlier, we mentioned reports had stated Michael Cera had broken up with Paper Heart co-star and long-time sweetie Charlyne Yi

Not so, according to Yi, who just revealed in an interview today that:

"We weren't dating at the time [laughs]…or ever.  I also heard that we broke up [laughs].  Someone sent me an article that said I was really sad.  It says that I'm sad that we're touring together.  But he's in actually in Toronto right now filming a movie called Scott Pilgrim, so that's interesting [laughs]."

And there you have it!

Hey, at least she can laugh it off.

Michael Cera Splits With Long Time Girlfriend

wenn-cera-yi.jpg

Michael Cera has called it quits with his girlfriend of three years, actress Charlyne Yi.

Apparently all the new female attention Cera's work has garnered has led the actor's eye to wander and he wants to date around a little bit.

Yi is said to be heartbroken, especially since the pair are about to embark on a promotional tour for their upcoming mockumentary Paper Heart.

Bummer.

Don't forget those who loved you before you became famous Cera!

Facebook: The Movie!!!!

facebook__opt.jpg

It's getting serious!

Now that West Wing scribe Aaron Sorkin is finished with the script, the Facebook movie, titled The Social Network, is looking for a director and actors!

Benjamin Button director David Fincher is in advanced talks to sign onto the project based on the scandalous book, The Accidental Billionaires.

In consideration to play a young Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg are Michael Cera and Shia LaBeouf.

By the time the movie comes out, though, will Facebook be "over"?

The News You've Been Waiting For! …Sorta

wenn2260560ron.jpg

Movie mogul and Arrested Development executive producer, Ron Howard, confirmed Sunday night at the Oscars that the film version of the television show is on - for sure!

Too bad he wouldn't confirm the status of Michael Cera returning to his role as George Michael Bluth!

"We've been asked to no longer divulge anything or get into the game of who's in, who's out," Howard dished to reporters on Sunday evening.

Sigh.

Cera's been hemming and hawing over his involvement with the movie, claiming he won't make a decision until he sees a scrip and that the film is "more hypothetical than people would think."

With the newfound confirmation from Ron Howard, we would definitely confirm the Arrested Development movie as being more than hypothetical!!

Or maybe this is all to drum up publicity for the upcoming movie??

You decide!

Michael Cera's Doing the Arrested Development Movie, Says Co-Star

tamborcera.jpg

Jeffrey Tambor, the actor who plays Michael Cera's grandpa on the TV cult fave Arrested Development, apparently knows lots of stuff about the TV-to-movie project that we don't!

In a recent interview the guy also known as Pop Pop said the movie is totally happening and Cera as George Michael is for sure.

“If I have to call him up and say, ‘Get on set right now, young man,’ he’ll be there,” says Tambor. “The movie is going to happen this year, and Michael Cera is on board. Trust me.”

This may be news to Cera!

We'll only believe the original George Michael's coming back it if Jason Bateman or Cera himself says it!
