Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys has gotten smacked with a case of the Swine Flu, leaving their upcoming promotional gigs canceled!

The boys men have a new album, THIS IS US, out tomorrow and were set to perform their new single Straight Through My Heart on CBS' The Early Show as well as a hosting a signing at the Hard Rock Cafe's PINKTOBER event in New York.

The other members of the band, Nick Carter, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, aren't showing any symptoms of the illness, but they've been prescribed Tamiflu just in case.

Horrible timing, guys! You could probably use all the promotion you can get!

But we do hope you feel better soon, Brian!

As we mentioned last month, Nick Carter has allegedly removed alcohol and drugs from his life.

The results have left him looking like a hottie once again.

And although the Backstreet Boy has been able to upgrade himself, it seems he hasn't been able to upgrade his girlfriend!

Nick was spotted yesterday shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles with his manish gal by his side.

And we've got to say, she's looking quite fugs!

Can't he date one of the Kardashians or something???

Nick Carter has quit drugs and pAArtying and adopted an active new lifetyle.

The Backstreet Boy shows off his buff new bod in the latest issue of People magazine.

So yum!

In a new interview, former current Backstreet Boy Nick Carter talks about the extent of his drug and alcohol problems.

After suffering from chest pains, Carter was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy - a build up of toxins that prevent the heart from pumping blood efficiently - most likely caused by years of excess.

Doctors told him that if he didn't shape up, he'd end up…..dead.

The sobering news helped Carter clean up his shiteous act. He says, "I don't want to be that person people read about and think, 'That's sad that he couldn't stop it and killed himself.'"

8 months later, Nick's turned his lifestyle around, although he does admit it is difficult at times. Fortunately, he's surrounded with a good support group, who will help him out - should he need it.

Stay healthy Nick!

Don't die!

What's D list boy band member to do for some extra cash?

How about go promote his birthday at shiteous clubs in another country (Canada) and hope to get paid something decent?!

Nick Carter is doing just that for his 29th.

The festivities will take place tonight (Thursday), as well as on Friday and Saturday.

Fliers are advertising the event as being "invited to this rare VIP event to celebrate the birthday of Nick Carter."

Oh, and the lucky partiers will also get to hear Nick pretend to be a DJ.

Fun!

But no worries, tickets are cheap. Only $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

And ticket info warns, "Come early to avoid disappointment, as this will be a sold out event."

Ha!!!!

This is what she has to say!

"I ran into Nick Carter this weekend at my friend Adam Davis' birthday party in the penthouse at Hotel Indigo in Nashville. Nick jumped on the dancefloor with Adam and by the looks of it, they were having a pretty good time. Check it out for yourself."

Somebody needs to head to AA!

With the recent snippet about the Backstreet Boys needing to just stop… I thought these pictures of Nick Carter might drive that point home a little harder.

Some friends of mine were minding their own business when Nick Carter came up to them on the beach. They went to the Cabo Cantina in Venice Beach and good ol' BSB Nick Carter proceeded to get drunk and turn into an asshole to everyone. Forget Lindsey, Nick lookslike he needs an immediate trip to rehab!"
