It's about time this girl made it to Broadway!

Jennifer Hudson is ready to hit the big time in the fall when she makes her Broadway debut in the production of A Color Purple.

The production will be directed and designed by John Doyle, who got a director's Tony for Sweeney Todd in 2006. He opened his version of The Color Purple in London in 2013.

The most exciting part about this announcement? This could be her chance at an EGOT! Jennifer already has a Grammy, Oscar and Golden Globe… so now she just needs a Tony!

Can you even imagine!?

We have every confidence in Jennifer and in the rest of the cast to make this the best production of The Color Purple EVER!
