… As the headliner of the Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival!!
Though not openly-gay, diva is showing her love and support of the gay community.
This concert will be the Queen Latifah's very FIRST public engagement at a Pride celebration, ever.
Fest Pres. Pat Crosby, announced:

All hail the Queen!
Academy Award winning actress Queen Latifah has been added to join the cast of Lifetime’s version of the feature film, Steel Magnolias!!!
The made-for-TV adaption of the 1989 film follows the lives and friendships of six women in Louisiana. Other cast members include: Alfre Woodard, Mrs. Huxtable Phylicia Rashad, singer/actress Jill Scott, Adepero Oduye and Phylicia's daughter, Condola Rashad.
Lifetime Networks president and GM Nancy Dubuc said of the ladies:

Hooray!! Something fresh for once!!
Queen Latifah is bringing The CW a very different kind of music competition show.
Currently titled as The Star Next Door, this series will throw the mentors into the talent's hometown rather than bringing the talent to Hollywood.
In the hometowns, the mentors will learn exactly what their subject needs to work on and how to succeed where they are.
Gloria Estefan and John Rich are set to be two of the mentors. Two more are being tapped this week!!

That's right, your majesty! WERK!
Sounds like Queen Latifah had some serious fun in South Beach last week, when shit hit up the gay club Twist early Tuesday morning to see the drag show at the venue.
Clad in a spectacular pink-and-green camo Spandex onesie, one of the performers had just completed their routine when the Queen "came out of the shadows,” and “clapping, smiling and grooving,” got on stage and started kissing the drag queen’s cheeks. According to the sources in the place, the “gay boys in the club were going wild” for Latifah, who was there with a large posse.
But of course! The Queen never goes anywhere solo!
Hey, next time we are both in town, we MUST go to this together, girl! That would just be EPIC!
