Kim Cattrall stepped out of order and Sarah Jessica Parker used the media to get her back in line.

On Thursday, Kim sent Sex and the City fanatics into a tizzy when she told a BBC show that SATC II was totally a-go, “We will do the sequel next summer…(it's been) difficult getting everybody who’s so incredibly busy all together at the same time.”

Later in the day, the SATC queen poo bah, SJPeePee, shot back in a statement, “I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done. With ‘the wind on our heels,’ we hope to make it a reality."

K.C. should've checked with PeePee before she opened her mouth!

Just after news that Candace Bushnell is writing the prequels to Sex and the City…..

At the DVD release party Thursday night, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, and director/writer Michael Patrick King confirmed a Sex and the City: The Movie sequel!

SJP admitted to milking the brand, saying, "Let's wring everything we can out of this thing!"

In the meantime, what is the rest of SATC up to?

Cynthia Nixon, who was also present at the Public Library launch party (Complete with pink carpet!) with her partner, just won an Emmy for her guest appearance on Law & Order: SVU, adding to her first Emmy and Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play.

All she needs is a Grammy and an Oscar to pull a Rita Moreno!

Kristin Davis was in Los Angeles, but her on-screen husband Evan Handler was present, preparing for a tour with his book about surviving cancer. His show with David Duchovny, Californication, returns to Showtime in September.

We can't wait for Sex and the City to return to the big screen!

Hopefully the second film is better than the so-so first!

Sex and the City's cougariffic Kim Cattrall attended the flick's video DVD release party with her twenty-something boyfriend on Thursday night in NYC.

He's hawt!

Her outfit, on the other hand, is sadly desperate.

Was she trying to keep everyone's eyes off her face?

At the video release party, film director Michael Patrick King told a reporter, “I’m thinking of doing an animated version of them as babies.”

Ever wonder what Carrie Bradshaw would have been like in high school?

Well, your prayers have been answered!

Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell is slated to release the first in a pair of teen novels about Carrie's life in high school.

The first new book is due in 2010.

Fans of the show and film, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, will get an insight into how the fashionista in Manolo Blahniks got her start.

Was she a teenaged slut?????

Titled The Carrie Diaries, the books will revolve around the friendships and romances of a teenage Carrie, and the pursuit of her dream to be a writer. According to Bushnell in a statement released by her publisher, high school is where Carrie began "observing and commenting on the social scene." And as expected, she "did not follow the crowd - she led it."

We can't wait to find out what 18-year-old Carrie wore to senior prom!

The Sex and the City movie is a gift that just keeps on giving!

The E! network just paid the SATC movie suits $7 million for the right to show the flick a few times on the cable network.

E! won't even have the rights ’til after the film makes its cable TV premiere on the USA network.

Crazy!

This must sting.

It turns out that legendary fashion designer Vivienne Westwood is not feeling the Sex and the City movie.

Westwood, at 67 years-old, created a dress that was worn by Sarah Jessica Parker's character in the movie, Carrie. She was also name-checked in the film.

But that hasn't stopped Vivi from stating that she was far from impressed with the work done by stylist Patricia Field for the movie.

Westwood says, "I thought Sex and the City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw. I went to the premiere and left after 10 minutes."

In fact, she called it "quite dull."

Ouch.

Then again, is Westwood really in any position to still be judging fashion????

We wouldn't doubt it if she's already started to lose her mind!

They're getting up there in age!

Have some of the ladies from Sex and the City taken a good look at themselves and decided to fix some problem areas????

According to reports, since the release of their movie, both Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon have had minor surgeries performed at Roosevelt Hospital in New York.

An inside source says, "Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed. They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week."

Davis's rep had no comment at the moment.

As for Nixon, her rep tells PerezHilton.com, "I wanted you to know the item about Cynthia is 100% false."

We're inclined to believe her, and time will tell when we see pics of Nixon in the near future.

We'll have to wait to find out if Davis' surgery reports are true.

But, while we're waiting, maybe Sarah Jessica Parker should book her appointment today with a doctor???

Surely something can be done about her Madonna-ish zombie hands!
