Taraji P. Henson Apologizes For Saying Her Son Was Racially Profiled By Police

Taraji P. Henson claims son was racially profiled

Last month, Empire star Taraji P. Henson spoke with Uptown magazine about an incident where her son was racially profiled when he was stopped by police on his way home from USC.

The actress said that her son followed police orders after he was pulled over by an officer — even though they allegedly searched his car illegally.

Now, a 40-minute video obtained by the Los Angeles Times shows the police report footage from the actual incident in Glendale, CA.

The footage from Oct. 18 shows an officer pulling over Marcell Johnson (Henson's son) after he drove through a lighted crosswalk as a pedestrian crosses.

When the officer asked whether he had anything illegal in his car, Johnson responded that he had marijuana in his backpack — for which he had a state-issued medical marijuana license.

Terrence Howard Thinks That They Should Use The N-Word On Empire, But Taraji P. Henson Disagrees

Talk about controversy!

Terrence Howard is all about authenticity, so when it comes to the smash hit Empire, he wants to throw political correctness out of the window! During an interview in February, he said:

"If we start getting silly, if we start playing to people's fancies, then we don't deserve to be where we are. It's a big pressure because I want to be a truth-sayer. I want to raise the bar. I want to get rid of this f—ed up word called PC. I think it's a gate for bigotry because as long as you're politically correct you can say anything you want but feel some way different… I'm mad that we don't say n—- in the show," he admits. "Why is TV showing something different from the reality of the world? Why is there a thing called censorship that stop people from hearing everyday talk? We use n—-every day. It's become part of a conversation—why aren't we using it in the show?"

Whoa! Well, it seems like Terrance is the only person that feels that way because not only has white writer David Rambo said he won't use the controversial word, but co-star Taraji P. Henson is against the use for the sake of authenticity as well She said:
