But the network that gave that cracked out nutbag his own hour of TV is doing the same for two well-deserved female hip-hop artists.
VH1 is giving Sandra "Pepa" Denton of Salt n Pepa and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas from TLC each their own reality shows. Both are schedule to premiere in 2010 and have orders in for eight half-hour episodes.
Though separate shows, both will follow each woman in search of love and romance, as most VH1 shows tend to do.
Clearly, the net execs realized they were neglecting a certain demographic with Jessica Simpson's new freakshow reality show The Price Of Beauty.
At least there is no chance of variety spin-off with this latest tragic reality TV venture.
We had mentioned that some moron network decided it was time Jessica Simpson return to the world of reality television. Well, now it is official.
Jessica will host the docu-series, The Price of Beauty, which will follow the singer, as she treks around the globe in search of what people find beautiful and why. Because if anyone is an authority on beauty…
The shitastic show will premiere on VH1 (where else?!) and Jessica sounds super excited in the statement she realized this morning:
"I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I'm sure will be a wild ride."
Now if that sounds like the biggest load of bullshit you've ever heard, READ ON for what the CEO of VH1, Jeff Olde has to say:
"Perhaps more than any other pop culture figure on the radar today, Jessica Simpson has been the target of our obsession with beauty on both sides of the equation. She is a woman who can set trends and create firestorms with a single photo. We could not be more thrilled that Jessica now gets to take control of that conversation and take a look at the idea of beauty through her own unique, unfiltered lens. And we at VH1 are excited to be in the passenger seat next to her as she begins this fantastic journey."
Uh, are we talking about the same Jessica Simpson? The one we are thinking of recently ate her way through a media frenzy over gaining tons and wearing hideous outfits that in no way fit her. Is that one you mean?
Will U watch Jessica's new desperate attempt at a career?
Saaphyri, of I Love Money 2, updated her Twitter page with some disturbing news:
"If you haven't heard that I'm in jail, you know now. Yes it's true. If you like you can write me. my cousin is maintaining my twitter account."
Well, at least she isn't freaking out!
Reports are saying that the reality star will be serving a three-year prison sentence for failure to appear in court after being arrested for stealing her uncle's identity back in 2004.
If you feel like sending her some "fan mail", she included her new block cell address

Former Rock of Love contestant and current star of the spinoff Daisy of Love, Daisy de la Hoya, was rushed to the emergency room yesterday for a possible "overdose."
When help arrived at the house she was at, sources say that Daisy was acting "crazy". She was yelling, screaming and thrashing around.
Okay, but this is different from her normal behavior how?
It took multiple emergency personnel to get Daisy into the ambulance and she is now being treated at a Los Angeles hospital.
Bitch ain't dumb. The doctors will give you good shiz once you are admitted. Plus, this is great publicity for that Z-lister!
VH1 has just picked up the second season of Dr. Drew Pinsky's Celebrity Rehab show. Cuz we all love some good trainwreck TV!
The new season will premiere on Thursday, October 23rd. Again, it'll consist of eight one-hour episodes. And just like the first time, the second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew will show the "real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at a center in the Los Angeles area."
Set to appear again this season will be trainwreck Jeff Conaway. Rehab didn't work the first time around! Second time's the charm????
Joining him will be Rod Stewart's son, Sean Stewart and former video vixen Tawny Kitaen.
All three of these messes are reality TV "veterans."
Also joining is some tranny-looking mess, Amber Smith, along with Steven Adler from Guns n Roses, Rodney King, and American Idol reject Nikki McKibbon.
Gary Busey will also be appearing to lend a helping hand after reportedly not using cocaine for 13 years.
Unabashedly milking its cult of Celebreality for every dollar it's worth, insiders have alerted us to VH1's plans for not one but TWO Rock of Love spinoffs.
None would have been too many!!!
And, no, much to our disappointment, Heather isn't getting her own show.
The first continues in the same vein as the original Rock of Love, where Brett Michaels of Poison and suspicious bandana fame selects his "rock of love" from a gaggle of fame-whoring rocker chicks through a series of challenges and dates. But, because Brett's two previous picks proved that absence actually leads the heart to wander, this time the show is taking to the road aboard Brett's tour bus. Rock of Love Bus will follow the man and his ladies across country as they drink, strip, grind, catfight, and compete for Brett's affections.
If this time around the girl in question can survive not only selling out her dignity and life on tour, then it's totally meant to be, right???
The second show is entitled Daisy of Love and leaves little to be guessed at. Daisy De La Hoya, the pint-sized, pouty-lipped, droopy-eyed, runner-up from Rock of Love 2 will be conducting her own boyfriend-by-attrition contest with a whole new crop of desperate suitors…one of which will probably lead to the Rock of Love spinoff-spinoff.
So Miss New York better step off cause there's a new reality TV bitch in town!
VH1 is trying to jump on the New Kids On The Block comeback hype with their own special.
They're planning to air a 90 minute LIVE special called New Kids On The Block: A Behind The Music Special Event.
The special will air on Sunday, September 28th at 8pm ET and the cameras will be with the guys as they get ready to perform at the TD Banknorth Garden in their home town of Boston, Massachusetts.
This will be VH1's first Behind the Music Live event, so let's hope it goes well.
It's going to feature the groups' history along with old photos and documents. They're also going to include current clips and footage shot by the NKOTB members.
The live broadcast will feature the first three songs of their sold-out concert, which you'll be able to catch on VH1's website the next day.
So, basically, it's just a regular Behind The Music but with a couple of live songs. Now that doesn't sound quite as exciting!
Behind the Music will show how the boys from Boston started off, with them later selling millions of albums, their split in 1994 and finally their reunion 14 years later.
