BBC Flawlessly Responds To The Sexist Snowflakes Upset Over Doctor Who's First Woman Time Lord!

Keep weeping, snowflakes — the BBC don't give a fuck!

On Sunday, it was revealed that Jodie Whittaker would play the first female Time Lord in the hit series Doctor Who, and most fans were jumping for joy.

Of course, a few less-evolved fans were upset over a woman (gasp!) playing the 13th Doctor and criticized the network for ruining the sanctity of the sci-fi show.

Such complaints questioned how a time traveling alien with otherworldly, regenerative abilities could possibly go from Peter Capaldi to the Broadchurch actress.

QUIZ: How Long Would YOU Survive Game Of Thrones?

Time-bending, sure. Age-bending, no problem-o. But GENDER-bending? How can one possibly wrap their heads around such a perplexing, doctor-ruining character trait like that?

Thankfully, BBC issued a response to the haters, delicately explaining it has long been established in the show that Time Lords are able to switch gender — and those who aren't on board can sit on a sonic screwdriver!

The BBC Complaints page stated how "viewers contacted us unhappy that Jodie Whittaker has been cast as the new Doctor," before responding:

Ian McKellen Reveals The 'Nonsense' Reason He Didn't Play Dumbledore In Harry Potter — Plus 12 Other Films That Almost Had Different Stars!

Sir Ian McKellen's most iconic role is Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings films, but he could have played an all-powerful wizard from another beloved book-turned-movie series too!

That's right, the veteran actor was approached about taking over as Albus Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films following the 2002 death of the OG Richard Harris.

Making an appearance on BBC's HARDtalk show, the 77-year-old explained he couldn't take over Harris' role because he knew the late actor wasn't a fan of his acting abilities!

Host Stephen Sackur brought up the alleged quote by Harris, where he called McKellen and a few other actors "technically brilliant but passionless." While McKellen thinks Harris' critique is "nonsense," he still "couldn't take over the part from an actor who I'd known didn't approve of me."

Eventually, Michael Gambon took over as the Hogwarts Headmaster for the rest of the series. But McKellen doesn't have any hard feelings, quipping that Gandalf is "the real wizard." Ha!

And the shadiest, apparently! For more roles that could have been…

Caaarrl! Look At The Cue Cards, Carrrrlllll!

Yasss!

We know the Love Actually sequel is just going to be a 10 minute sketch for BBC's charity event Red Nose Day, but with nearly the entire cast returning, we're probably going to fall in love again anyway.

In the first teaser for the special, Andrew Lincoln is back with those cue cards with a special message just for us.

Photos: Hugh Grant Looking Good!

Of course, Andy couldn't shave or cut his hair because of his day job on The Walking Dead, so we're left to wonder if Mark wandered the streets and became a vagrant in a perpetual depressed Keira Knightley-less existence.

That actually would be pretty funny…

Ch-ch-check out the teaser (above) and see Hugh Grant, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Liam Neeson, Martine McCutcheon, Bill Nighy, and more when Actually airs Friday, March 24 on BBC One!

And we thought New Jersey was a dangerous place

A BBC comedy show is under fire after joking about the Islamic State in a sketch called The Real Housewives of ISIS.

The spoof, which was posted online Tuesday to promote the show Revolting, features four British women in hijabs who discuss their unglamorous lives as Jihadi brides.

Like the various RH parodies online these days, the four women try to emulate the Bravo divas themselves while living in an unsafe environment of decay — making light of the real women who allegedly offer themselves as sex wives to men fighting for ISIS.

In fact, one of the scenes even shows a character showing off her new outfit — a suicide vest — while her friends gossip about how it makes her look "massive"!

To no one's surprise, the sketch sparked some serious backlash on social media, with many saying it was

This breaks our hearts.

British actor Peter Vaughan, best known in recent years for his pivotal role on Game Of Thrones, has died at 93 years old.

His agent Sally Long-Innes confirmed Vaughan "died peacefully with his family around him," telling BBC News:

"This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10:30 this morning."

The partially blind actor most recently starred as the elderly Aemon Targaryen, Maester of the Night's Watch, in the HBO fantasy hit in seasons 1-5.

He last appeared in episode 7 of season 5, "The Gift," where Aemon dropped a few subtle Targaryen hints before passing and being placed on a funeral pyre.

Vaughan is also known for his role as Harry "Grouty" Grout in the classic '70s BBC sitcom Porridge, in which he appeared in a handful of episodes.

Among the actor's notable credits includes starring alongside Frank Sinatra in the 1967 spy movie The Naked Runner and with Anthony Hopkins in the 1993 drama The Remains of the Day.

Such a long and prolific career! Our hearts go out to Vaughan's loved ones at this difficult time.
