two firefighters killed boston 9 alarm fire brownstone back bay neighborhood 18 rushed to hospital boston fire departments sad

This is so sad!

Two courageous firefighters were killed today while trying to put out a 9-alarm Brownstone fire in Boston that wound up sending at least 18 people to the hospital.

The deadly blaze, which broke out in the city's densely populated Back Bay neighborhood, started in the basement of a four-story brick row house and spread quickly thanks to unusually strong 40 miles per hour winds.

The details surrounding these two heroic first responders' deaths are still murky, but officials admit multiple firefighters were at one point trapped in the building.

Sam Wallace, an onlooker and the president of the Back Bay Neighborhood Association, says he saw an explosion shortly after the house caught on fire.

He described the horrible ordeal:

st patricks day parades lgbt community intolerance sam adams heineken boycott

St. Patrick's Day is a time-honored holiday meant to bring people together, often in a drunken stupor; it should NOT be an instrument to tear them apart!

The celebration isn't about race, gender, religion, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or even ethnicity — it's about wearing green & binge drinking until you see Leprechauns enjoying an adult beverage responsibly!

Whether it's dying a river green or simply having a parade, most major U.S. celebrate the holiday in some official capacity. Unfortunately, the festivities in several cities — including Boston & NYC — are actually quite intolerant to the LGBT community!

They've gone so far as to forbid LGBT supporters from marching openly in the parade!!!

Lorde got to hang with a baby seal at the New England aquarium.

This is not your average kiss from a rose!

Is this why Lorde turned down the opportunity to tour with Katy Perry???? She thought she was touring with Seal?

JK!!!

The 17-year-old singer was in Boston last Friday to perform a show at the Orpheum Theatre, but earlier in the day, she got to do something pretty special!

No, she wasn't warming up, singing her scales with Seal…but she did hang with A seal!

She made friends with Kit, the seal pup, at the New England Aquarium!

Awww! That's such a cute little baby seal!

Lorde was lucky enough to get a tour of the whole place just before she fed lettuce to some penguins and took pics of the jellyfish.

That sounds like so much fun! She's one seriously lucky lady!

If you wore a skirt while riding the Green Line, you were basically asking for it…

Right?!

Without speaking those exact words, that's what Massachusetts' Supreme Judicial Court said by ruling on Wednesday that the man who took cellphone photos up the skirts of women riding the Boston subway did not violate any state law - because the women were not nude or partially nude!

EXCUSE US?! Privacy fail!

After the SJC overruled a lower court that charged Michael Robertson, who was arrested in August 2010 by police after using his cell to take pics up the skirts of unknowing females - women everywhere went into a frenzy!

Thus proving that fast changes to the state's "Peeping Tom" law need to be changed!

Before today, it specified that photos/video must be voyeuristic of partially nude people, failing to protect clothed victims (including skirted ladies) in public.

But now, Senate President Therese Murray is revealing that 36 hours later, the court has changed their mind—making the privacy violation a misdemeanor:
