Detroit reporter Jason Carr may think it's much more than an coincidence.

Known as the stomping grounds of Eminem, 8 Mile is a well known part of Detroit.

Now, a motel in 8 Mile has changed its name and it's causing quite a stir! The original name was the American Motel and it has now changed to M-N-M motel.

Unfortunately, the locals around the motel have no idea what the reporter is talking about.

Okay, so U won't ACTUALLY see RoboCop in the next Star Trek movie…but U WILL see the actor who plays him!

We've just learned that Peter Weller, who played Alex Murphy/RoboCop in the classic action flick, will be joining JJ Abrams' Star Trek sequel in an as-of-yet-unidentified role.

Sorry for getting UR hopes up, Detroit, but it should still be exciting to see the RoboActor doing his thing with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and hopefully Benicio Del Toro as well!

…Can't wait for May 17, 2013!!!!!

The singer kicked off her Unbroken tour last night in Detroit, and performed one hell of a cover of the Maroon5/Christina Aguilera smash Moves Like Jagger!

Detroit residents may never get that bizarre statue they were asking for last Feburary, and they may not be able to avoid Nickelback's appearance at their Thanksgiving…BUT they will get a new movie about their favorite local robohero!

Last we heard about the RoboCop reboot, newcomer Josh Zetumer had signed on to write the script for the reboot of the classic 80s flick!

Now, Brazilian director Jose Padilha has opened up about the upcoming robomovie! Here's what he had to say about it:

Earlier this month, we were totally pumped to hear that Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative album Watch The Throne had gotten a reported release date of August 2nd!

Then last week, they debuted a new track Otis (above), and we thought it was more than just a little AMAZING!

Now, Jay and Kanye have announced dates for their Watch the Throne tour, which starts on Sept. 22 in Detroit, MI.

Tickets will go on sale starting Aug 8, and as a VERY cool bonus, anybody who purchases concert tickets online will get a digital copy of the new album for FREE! Awesome!

A half dozen babies?! Phew! Girl! Good luck to you!

Lauryn Hill announced last night at her show in Detroit that after this tour, she was going to be taking a little time off. Before she let the crowd get into a booing frenzy over another "hiatus," Lauryn revealed that she needed to be off her feet for awhile, since she's preggers with her sixth child!

Okay, we guess that is an expectable excuse!

We kid, we kid! Its more than expectable! It's WONDERFUL! Such joyous news! We're so happy for you!

Congrats to the new momma…for the sixth time!

It's a tough job market everywhere, but we'd suggest getting out of these areas if you're unemployed and looking for a job!

According to Paul Forster, the CEO of Indeed.com, there HAS been improvement over the last 12 months!

He explains:

"Of the 10 cities with the most population per job posting, there are 62 percent more jobs on average than a year ago."

Just gotta keep at it, and try not to get too discouraged! We're getting there, guys!
