Right now, Tory Burch is somewhere wishing her billionaire status hadn’t been revealed.

Shortly after winning one legal battle, the designer has had another one brought up, but this time it’s by an ex-employee instead of an ex-husband!

Jessica Jones, a black, bisexual woman, claims she was called a "n***er" and a "disgusting" homosexual while she worked at the company's Beverly Hills flagship from July 2011 to July 2012.

Rihanna's name is being dragged into a discrimination lawsuit filed by a former Gucci employer.

Josephine Robinson is suing the Italian fashion house for $5 million in damages for an "unrelenting barrage of racist comments and jokes at her expense" and one of the incidents involved the Loud songstress.

According to court docs, Robinson was working on RiRi's contract for promoting Gucci's Tattoo Heart accessory collection when international tax counsel Stan Sherwood told her to "tax the hell out of her" so the company could withhold 30% of her fee.

WTF!?

Josephine claims Sherwood and others continued to spew racial comments toward her, but was fired when she complained.

Gucci's already fired back at the lawsuit, saying:

"Ms. Robinson’s allegations are completely baseless, and the company will defend itself vigorously against this meritless litigation. The company is confident that it will prevail."

Think they're right???

Attorney General Forces AE To Change Their Transgender Policies!

ap060514034903_e.jpg

After receiving complaints from the transgender community, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is forcing American Eagle to ditch their rule about their employees personal appearance that banned men wearing women's clothing and vice versa.

A member of Make the Road New York, the same group that accused J. Crew of discriminating against transgenders, said "This shows me that there's faith and hope. There might be a domino effect, that's what I'm hoping for."

The settlement signed by American Eagle said they will change their policies as well as their employee handbooks. They will also be training their staff on transgender issues.

A rep from the retailer said in a statement:

"To avoid further expense and the distraction of a prolonged argument, [we have] agreed to a compromise settlement in this case, with the understanding that AEO is not admitting to the findings. We wholeheartedly believe that transgender individuals should be treated equally."

Actions speak louder than words, sister!

1 Million Women May Sue Walmart

ap080813071620_e.jpg

Ouch!

On Monday, federal courts ruled that thousands of female Walmart employees can sue the mega-retailer over allegations that men got paid more to work at the company.

Now that the ruling was approved, as many as 1 million women could be involved in the class action suit.

Yikes!

Walmart believes the case "presented issues that go far beyond the parties. This formula is reall a recipe for massive litigation against companies around the country", which is exactly why they're going to the Supreme Court to review it.

We're sure they are! Could you imagine how much money they would have to shell out!?

The women, who are "determined to see this case through to its conclusion", hope to be in court by the end of the year.

Thoughts???

Former Prada Japan Employee Sues The Company

As we mentioned last month, Prada Japan was facing some harsh accusations from a former employee.

According to 36-year-old Rina Bovrisse, CEO Davide Sesia didn't want people working at his stores that were "old, fat, ugly, disgusting or not having the Prada look."

So as a senior retail manager, Bovrisse was told to fire about 15 staff members that were deemed too ugly or old. She claims she was also fired because she was too overweight and unattractive.

Shortly after the accusations, Prada Japan issued a public statement denying the claims.

And now Rina has teamed up with two former employees and is suing for unfair dismissal. The court case will begin on May 14th with Rina seeking to overturn her dismissal.

In a news conference held in Tokyo, Rina stated:

"I'm here to take a stand for Japanese women who have been victims of harassment and discrimination at the workplace. I love this country. I'm proud to be Japanese… as a hard-working female, but the only issue that I saw in Japan was that the working environment was not (as) safe as overseas. I would like to be part of the next step, to create a (safe) environment. If we face an issue now, it should be solved within our generation."

Rina added she was told she was too "aged, ugly, fat, bad body shape, bad teeth, disgusting and not cute" and was told to change her hairstyle, lose some weight, and fit the "Prada look."

So, just what exactly is the Prada look? Young, slim, and gorgeous only?

Ex-Prada Employee Sues For Discrimination

rina_prada_fb_e.jpg

She's baaaack!

After having her labor complaint dismissed by the Tokyo District Court, former Prada manager Rina Bovrisse is gearing up for another lawsuit against her former employer.

Rina, who said she was fired for being ugly, is suing Prada Japan for harassing and discriminating not just against her, but other staff members as well.

Contrary to what Prada said previously, Rina claims no settlement was reached when it came to her labor complaint, which allows her to pursue the discrimination lawsuit.

The bitter ex-employee is seeking compensation for emotional damages and lawyer fees but she hasn't put an amount down in writing because she's more concerned with receiving a letter of apology.

We call B.S. on that one! We can bet she wants money out of this.

The weird part of whole thing is that she's created a Facebook fan page in her name to prove she's not ugly or fat. So far she only has 184 fans.
