Harry Potter Fans Inundate An Edinburgh Grave Belonging To Thomas Riddell With Letters — Wait, Was Voldemort Real???

We'd love to take a Portkey to this graveyard!

Officials in Edinburgh have been ordering the removal of letters from Harry Potter fans on one particular grave! And no, the epitaph doesn't read, "Here Lies Dobby A Free Elf."

Thomas Riddell may have been a general who died back in 1806, but centuries later he is now the cause of some news, seeing how his name is almost identical to the actual identity of Voldemort, Tom Riddle.

His gravesite in Greyfriers Kirkyard has been getting a lot of notes from the Harry Potter fanbase, as if this general had died in the Battle of Hogwarts instead!

Well, at least they haven't been leaving the Dark Mark! Nothing ruins a graveyard quite like Morsmordre!

An Edinburgh City Council spokesperson had this to say:

At Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, they're trying some inneresting techniques to try and get their pandas to mate.

It is notoriously difficult to get pandas to mate so zookeepers are trying everything they can to get the pandas in the mood.

They've apparently always played radio for the pandas, but recently, they've switched up the tunes to smooth, easy listening.

They even started playing Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On on a daily basis!

The Harry Potter queen wanted more room for her kiddies to play and she's asking for $3.7 million.

It's okay though, because her new digs has a $250K Hogwarts playground!!!

Rowling's former palace is in a heavily exclusive neighborhood so potential buyers won't have to worry about any annoying Muggles neighbors!

Check out the pics from J.K.'s former home (below)!

Awful! Kidnapped Lesbian Blogger Story Was A Hoax By A 40-Year-Old Married Man!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayTacky & TruePolitik

lesbian blogger kidnapping a hoax

This is deplorable.

Last week, we heard that Lesbian blogger Amina Araf, who writes the blog A Gay Girl in Damascus AND is a voice for anti-government opposition in Syria, was kidnapped in Damascus.

Now, we've learned that the A Gay Girl in Damascus blog is actually just a 40-year-old married man who lives in Edinburgh, and the entire kidnapping story was a hoax.

The awful man behind the blog, Tom MacMaster, is a grad student working on his master's at Edinburgh.

It gets worse, though! Apparently, Amina Arraf Tom pursued a "six-month online relationship with a woman in Canada" via email while in character. Sickening!

Here's what Tom wrote about the hoax in a final blog entry entitled "Apology to Readers":

"I never expected this level of attention. While the narrative voıce may have been fictional, the facts on this blog are true and not misleading as to the situation on the ground".

We cannot emphasize enough how disturbed we are by all of this. Yuck!

What do U think about this hoax? Deplorable? Forgivable?

JK Rowling Donates £10 million To Start MS Research Clinic

World-renowned author JK Rowling donated £10 million to fund a multiple sclerosis research clinic at the University of Edinburgh.

Rowling, whose mother died from multiple sclerosis at age 45, says that she is extremely excited about this project.

"I have supported research into the cause and treatment of multiple sclerosis for many years now – but when I first saw the proposal for this clinic, I knew that I had found a project more exciting, more innovative, and, I believe, more likely to succeed in unravelling the mysteries of MS than any other I had read about or been asked to fund."

The clinic will research a range of degenerative neurological conditions and diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntingdon's, and motor neurone disease. She also noted that she is dedicating the clinic to her mother.

"I have just turned 45, the age at which my mother, Anne, died of complications related to her MS. I know that she would rather have had her name on this clinic than on any statue, flower garden or commemorative plaque, so this donation is on her behalf, too, and in gratitude for everything she gave me in her far too short life."

Incredible! Not only is she a wonderful writer, but an extraordinary person!
