Alison Brie Remembers The Entourage Audition Where Producers Asked Her To Take Her Top Off

no title

Alison Brie is here with your weekly reminder of how slimy and degrading the Hollywood audition process can be.

After a rousing screening of her new Netflix series GLOW at the ATX Television Festival, the actress spoke bluntly on whether or not things have improved for actresses since the show's 1980s setting.

Apparently not that much, as the Community alum had her fair share of icky audition experiences while trying to break into the biz. She admitted:

"It has not changed that much. The audition process has not changed that much."

Brie recounted one particularly gross audition for HBO's Entourage, telling the crowd on Sunday:

Whoopi Goldberg Isn't Mad At Bill Maher For Saying The N-Word — But Not Everyone On The View Agrees!

no title

Are you white and longing for the freedom to say the n-word without social backlash? Don't worry — Whoopi Goldberg has your back!

On Monday's The View, the panel discussed the recent controversy that came after Bill Maher used a certain word on Real Time last Friday.

The comedian jokingly labeled himself a "House n*****" after Republican Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse invited him to work in the fields of his state, but most social media users weren't laughing — some even called for the removal of Maher's HBO show.

While a few of The View cohosts admitted they couldn't separate the word from it's nasty history, Whoopi had NO problem with Maher's casual utterance.

Why? Because she thinks we should strip the n-word of its power once and for all!

Do U agree? Watch the clip (below) to see what the comedienne and her co-panelists have to say about the controversy!

George R.R. Martin Breaks Silence On Game Of Thrones Spinoffs — Says Upcoming Series WON'T Feature Current Characters!

More Westeros stories are coming, Game of Thrones fans.

Though some are hoping for their favorite characters to return for the forthcoming spinoffs, George R.R. Martin is reminding us not to expect anything along the lines of Starks In Charge or Tyrion: God of Tits and Wine.

Photos: Game Of Thrones Season 7 Pics Show All Your Faves!

The series mastermind broke his silence about the GoT prequels in development at HBO and dropped a Blackwater-sized firebomb of news: none of the spinoffs will be about current characters — which is why he won't even refer to the new shows as "spin-offs"!

Posting to his blog on Sunday night, he wrote:

"None of these new shows will be ‘spinning off' from GoT in the traditional sense. We are not talking Joey or AfterMASH or even [Frasier] or Lou Grant, where characters from one show continue on to another. So all of you who were hoping for the further adventures of Hot Pie are doomed to disappointment. Every one of the concepts under discussion is a prequel, rather than a sequel. Some may not even be set on Westeros."

What!? No more Arya, Jon, or Daenerys? That doesn't bode well for our faves making it through the rest of the Thrones timeline…

Still, those who have actually see the Friends spinoff Joey will probably join our collective sigh of relief over this news.

Martin's update wasn't entirely disappointing — he noted there is now a FIFTH pilot script in development instead of the previously reported four.

Even better, he's officially credited as a co-writer on two of the four previously announced prequels — and is creatively involved on all of the series to some degree. He continued:

John Oliver Is Gonna Go Ahead And Stop You Right There, Trolls…

Last week on Last Week Tonight, John Oliver gave us the heads up on some shady moves by Donald Trump and his team to roll back net neutrality.

Once again, he gave viewers an easy path to make their voices heard, to tell the FCC that they wanted their Internet to be a fair market where no websites got preferential treatment because of corporate interest!

Unfortunately what some people chose to do with that path was a liiiiittle misguided. Or in some cases just plain horrible.

Between bots, fake names, real racism, and of course, tons of pro-Trump trolls, let the HBO host show you some of the best and worst comments so far in the fight for a free Internet.

Politician Chokes On His Dinner, Busts Open Face BC He Was Laughing So Hard At HBO's Veep!

no title

Politics are a dangerous game, but apparently not as dangerous as political satire.

That's what Australian politician Graham Perrett learned after almost laughing himself to death while watching Veep.

The acclaimed HBO comedy had the Labor MP in (literal) stitches after he laughed so hard, he choked on his sushi and knocked himself unconscious — giving himself a black eye and a nasty gash on his cheek!

The parliamentarian from Queensland told BuzzFeed News the incident went down last Sunday night while he was watching the Season Six premiere of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning political comedy.

Perrett was chowing down on sushi during a scene where congressman — or, as Selina Meyer calls him, "Jolly Green Jizz Face" — Jonah Ryan gets caught by frenemy Dan Egan shaving his head to trick people into thinking he still has cancer.

Perrett said the following scene full of shaving puns was so hilarious, it led him to a full on choking fit. He explained:

The Top 10 Most Jaw-Dropping Moments From HBO's Girls

no title

Lena Dunham's Girls has come to an end.

After six seasons of soul-searching, shouting, and sublimely weird sex scenes, Sunday night saw the curtains close for the (second) HBO show about four women living in New York City.

The finale was underwhelming to say the least, but we guess that's the point Lena, Jenni Konner, and Judd Apatow were trying to make about "reality." Because unlike Sex and the City, this series wasn't about romanticizing the pain of finding your way.

That being said, there were still plenty of over-the-top, wild, and just plain WHOA moments to revel in…
