Pope's Peace Doves Attacked By Birds Of Prey! See The Dramatic Pic HERE!

The Pope released some doves who were promptly attacked by birds of prey!

No! Poor peace doves!

The pope was giving his weekly Sunday Angelus prayer, in front of the tens of thousands of people who gather in the Vatican, along with two kids, when something unexpected happen!

After finishing his prayer for those in the Ukraine, the kids next to him released two white peace doves, which began to flapp away into the beautiful Italian sky… until they were attacked!!

Two birds of prey, a seagull and a crow, flew in and assaulted the peace doves!

The seagull pinned one of the doves against a wall and pecked at it but the bird escaped while the crow snatched and pecked at the other bird before it too escaped.

The magic power of the pope helped the birds get away with their lives!!

Kinda symbolic… the peace doves were attacked by birds of prey but overcame adversity and rose above it to fly off into the sunset!!

Check out a video of the dove release AFTER THE JUMP!!

The animals of Africa are running out of time and running out of options.

And the World Wildlife Fund is turning to religious leaders to help the conservation cause.

Poachers are escalating in their attacks against rhinos and elephants as the Asian market explodes for ivory and rhino horn.

Dekila Chungyalpa, director of WWF's Sacred Earth program believes conservationists aren't getting the job done.

Cat Temple Opens In Moscow

Cat Temple Opens In Mascaw

Better book your ticket to Russia!

famous Russian cat trainer and founder of the Cat Theater Yury Kuklachev, is set to open a temple dedicated to the adobz and whiskered creatures.

This temple will have more than just worshiping!

Children and adults will be able to see a variety of cat species there. They will be able to play with the cats, learn how to train them and even try out cat therapy (cat therapy?). Sounds like fun… sort of.

Kuklachev says cats are admired by all religions and are allowed to enter churches, so there is nothing odd about building a temple to worship their intelligence, grace and ability to soothe.

Allergic to cats? Well it's! The temple will run special classes on how to use breathing techniques to beat allergies.

There is not one reason to miss this attraction. Aside from self respect.

Kirk Cameron Says Dead Birds Don't Mean End Of Times

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueBirds

Kirk Cameron says dead birds do not mean end of the world

Amid fears that falling birds and dying fish could be a signal for the apocalypse or biblical plague (who would ever say such a ridiculous thing?), Anderson Cooper turned to the big guy himself for answers.

That's right. Kirk Cameron.

If you believe the born-again Christian star of the Left Behind movie series has any kind of heavenly perspective, then your prayers have been answered.

While appearing on Anderson Cooper 360, the former Growing Pains star said:

"Well, I first think that they ought to call a veterinarian, not me. You know, I'm not the religious-conspiracy-theorist go-to guy, particularly, but I think it's really kind of silly to try to equate birds falling out of the sky with some kind of an end-times theory."

Mike Seaver Kirk really knows his stuff too, as he continued:

"People love to find codes and signs of future events and see if they can decipher them before anybody else, but birds falling from the sky? That has to do more with pagan mythology; the direction that the birds flew told some of the followers of some of those legends that the gods were either pleased or displeased with them."

That's good enough for us. We'll turn to religious fanaticism when pigs start falling from the sky instead.

Thanks, Kirk!

Brigitte Bardot Slams Judaism And Islam For Animal Slaughter

brigitte bardot slams religions for animal slaughter

Looks like you're entering some HEAVY territory here, Brigitte!

76-year-old French screen legend/animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot has started a campaign to end religious animal slaughter in France, and she's speaking out against Judaism and Islam.

Here's what Bardot had to say about it:

"I can no longer accept that in order to please a god animals have their throats slit like in the Middle Ages without being stunned beforehand, when we have modern methods to prevent animals suffering."

In an effort to get her controversial point across, Bardot has started a nationwide poster campaign in France, featuring "a gruesome image of a cow's head."

Guess we'll see how Bardot's campaign plays out, but it is definitely tricky territory.

Be careful, Brigitte! Not sure if anyone told U this, but religion is a touchy subject, bb.
