The world of boxing has lost one of the greats today, as former heavyweight champ Ken Norton has died at the age of 70.
The former boxer had been struggling with his health over the past several years after her suffered a series of strokes, and his son says he passed away in Las Vegas yesterday.
Ken's career began in the U.S. Marine Corps where he was a 3-time heavyweight champ in the '60s.
He then went on to have a notable professional career and was well known for three classic fights against fellow boxing legend Muhammad Ali.
In their first match-up, Ken achieved the impossibly by not only beating Ali, but by also shutting up his notoriously big mouth by breaking his jaw!
In 1978, he was awarded the WBC Heavyweight title.
Our thoughts go out to Norton's family and the boxing community at this incredibly difficult time.
