As we previously mentioned, Andy Warhol‘s portrait of Elizabeth Taylor, entitled Silver Liz, was auctioned off at Christie’s on Wednesday.
The 1963 silkscreen sold to for just over the low end of its estimate, a measly $10.1 million. Although, it was the only post-war work to garner over $10 million.
At least that’s something.
