Alec Baldwin Clarifies His Statements

Alec Baldwin was heard recently saying that he thought 30 Rock would be ending in 2012, and then we let you guys know that doesn’t seem to be the case according to an NBC insider that no conversations have been had about it ending.

Now, when asked about it, Alec has changed his tune a bit:

“I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope 30 Rock goes on forever. Or at least as long as everyone involved desires. Next year hopefully won├óΓé¼Γäót be the last. Kenneth can run the network. Jenna will get her own talk show. Tracy will become Mayor of New York. Then resign to go raise exotic reptiles. And Lemon will go do├óΓé¼┬ª. just about anything she sets her mind to. Here├óΓé¼Γäós to five more seasons.”

Alec has spoken about wanting to get out of acting and television for a while now, and it has nothing to do with the show, but rather that he’s lost interest in the craft.

So it isn’t exactly a stretch to think that he might have meant to say that it would be the last year for him, but not the show. We can’t imagine how the show would survive with his and Tina Fey‘s on screen relationship, though!

We support the idea of 5 more seasons, though! Obviously!
