Canada continues to be awesome!
The country’s province of Ontario has just legalized prostitution and brothels in an attempt to make it less dangerous for sex workers.
A judge in the Ontario Court of Appeals ruled:
“The record is clear that the safest way to sell sex is for a prostitute to work indoors, in a location under her control.”
Many sex workers, such as Victoria Scott (in the video above) have expressed their gratitude for the judge’s decision:
“I’d like to thank the Ontario Court of Appeal justices for pretty much declaring sex workers persons today. I didn’t think I’d see it in my lifetime, but here we are.”
Here we are, indeed.
