With all the change going on in little Suri Cruise’s life right now, it seems her mommy Katie Holmes is more determined than ever to give her daughter a normal childhood!
As we previously were aware of, Katie wanted sole custody of her and Tom Cruise’s six-year-old so she could control how Suri would be raised.
Since Scientology’s belief system includes discipline-free guidelines, Katie had noticed that Suri was getting “demanding and very bratty” since Tom would let her do “whatever she wanted.”
In this week’s issue of Us Weekly, insiders claim that Suri had previously been taught by Scientology-approved instructors, but that Katie “didn’t want Suri to have a Scientology-only education.”
Those reports proved true this week when Katie enrolled little Suri in Manhattan’s Convent of the Sacred Heart School for a Catholic-based education!
Now that Katie’s in charge, Suri’s life will become more disciplined as opposed to before the split, where Tom would let her choose her own bedtime and stay up all night watching Scientology kids’ videos!
A source stated:
“It will be a process. Katie knows it will take time to undo the damage, but she sees this as a way to start over.”
As for how Katie broke the news of the divorce to her daughter?
An insider close to Holmes revealed:
“Suri is used to Tom being away for work, so this is nothing new. Katie has delicately told her that Mommy and Daddy will spend time apart, but Suri will still see him. She’s trying to let her adjust to this easily.”
It sounds like Katie is doing all that she can to ensure that Suri has a normal childhood and it seems she’s trying her best to humble her!
We give her a LOT of credit, as we’re sure it hasn’t been easy!
