On 30 Rock, Tina Fey plays an overworked showrunner trying to balance business with motherhood (or attempts at it anyway).
It turns out the role isn’t much of a stretch!
Costar Alec Baldwin says becoming a mom really took a toll on the creator/star this year. He says:
“Tina always had her antenna up. But this year was the first time she came in and laid down on the couch on set, and you could tell, she’s a mom. She’s f–king wiped out.”
Aw! Considering that show makes us laugh more than any other network sitcom in years, we’re not surprised she’s a bit knackered!
But Tina says it was well worth it, given the finished product. She says:
“I feel like we made a lot of good episodes of the kind of show that usually gets cancelled. The kind where there’s 20 episodes and ‘only me and my hipster friends know about it.’ That part’s still true. But we made about 140 of them!”
We can’t believe that 30 Rock has been on so long! Guess time flies when you’re having funny!
