Lea Michele Speaks Out Against Horse-Drawn Carriage Cruelty In PETA Campaign

Back in October, we learned about Lea Michele’s mission to help out the cruelly treated horses in NYC’s horse-drawn carriages.

Now, Lea has started a PETA campaign to put an end to horse-drawn carriage cruelty.

Here’s what she had to say about it:

“Imagine for a moment that you’re forced to do hard physical labor all day, seven days a week├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥whether it’s sweltering hot or freezing cold outside. At the end of the day, instead of relaxing on [an] easy chair or sleeping in a comfortable bed, you are locked in a tiny closet all night long.”

These horses are subject to lots of health problems, including respiratory problems from car fumes and severe leg problems. Also, they’re often scared by loud street noises, and at the end of the day, they are put into tiny confinements for the night.
