Shia LaBeouf SLAMMED By Fans After Complaining About Not Being Able To Do Jimmy Kimmel Live!

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Shia LaBeouf angered a lot of people with his latest comments!

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday, the actor opened up about his new movie Henry Johnson — but it’s the complaints about his own life that’s got a lot of folks talking on the internet right now. You see, Shia was asked about whether he finds his character in the film “a master manipulator or something less sinister” after receiving comparisons to the “toxic-masculine guru guys online.” While answering, he got into his own very controversial past and said:

“I don’t want to be in prison. I don’t have to work hard to understand that. Who would want to be in prison for 30 f**king years? If there was a way out, I would try to chase that. I don’t need to do big research to think that way. And I didn’t really want to play him like tough guy, because all my baggage came in with me already. I knew as soon as the play would start, there was all this myth already about how I’m a dog-killing, monstrous piece of s**t.”

Remember that?

His former girlfriend FKA Twigs sued Shia years ago, accusing Shia of sexual assault, abuse, and emotional distress. One of the most shocking and disturbing allegations from her? The singer claimed she was so terrified the Transformers alum would shoot her because he slept with a loaded gun within arm’s reach. But the other reason she was scared — she alleged in the lawsuit that he boasted about shooting stray dogs. Yes, really! He allegedly MURDERED dogs!

His appalling actions were all to “get into character,” FKA Twigs said, for the film The Tax Collector, where he played the hitman Creeper. She told Elle:

“I said to him, ‘That’s really bad. Why are you doing that?’ And he was like, ‘Because I take my art seriously. You’re not supporting me in my art. This is what I do. It’s different from singing. I don’t just get up on a stage and do a few moves. I’m in the character.’ He made me feel bad, like I didn’t understand what it was like to be an actor or to do this…Method.”

WTF.

And it’s because of what Shia allegedly did that he’s been sort of (not really) blacklisted in the industry. However, you won’t hear him own up to any of this! Instead, he acted like it wasn’t his fault, he told THR:

“And so how can I paint with that? Well, I don’t have to play into it or use it very much or do much grimacing at all. I just have to get these lines down, learn this rhythm. How does a story like this even come to your desk? You shouldn’t be talking to us, right? We’re not supposed to be here. This is for The Hollywood Reporter, isn’t it?”

According to Shia, what he has “experienced lately,” is that journalists “aren’t allowed to come write about me,” complaining:

“Because we’re on some kind of lists. For instance, I was going to do Jimmy Kimmel, right? To promote this project. And so Jimmy Kimmel’s show is owned by ABC. And ABC said, ‘No, you can’t interview Shia.’ So Jimmy had to call me and say, ‘Hey, you can’t come on the show.’”

For starters, it is upsetting enough that Jimmy Kimmel tried to have an alleged abuser on the show. Why give him a platform? But Shia then whines about having the appearance canceled as if it is not because of the consequences of one’s own actions. Seriously? The Holes star has no one but himself to blame. And people on X (Twitter) made sure he realized that!

See the reactions to the interview (below):

“Not-fun fact: to prepare for his role in a low tier David Ayer movie, this mf went on a dog killing spree.”

“why is he complaining about the consequences of his actions???”

“And do you mind telling the class why you were blacklisted, shia?”

“I love how these idiots dance around their abuse allegations like they’re  being shunned for not liking pinapple on pizza”

“Not gonna lie I was a huge fan of his growing up, as well as James Franco…but there’s a reason nobody wants to watch them anymore and it’s their fault”

“how is it 2025 and people are still struggling to grasp the concept of consequences”

“Probably because you’re a terrible human being.”

“Good. We call those consequences of your own actions”

“‘blacklisting’ is a funny way of saying facing repercussions for physically assaulting FKA twigs”

“I am utterly sick of these actors with the platform of a lifetime throw it away and then blame the system for the fall-out. Even if you’ve bettered yourself, your situation is your doing. Shut the f**k up for once”

“If he’s blacklisted how tf was he able to get an interview with y’all”

Now, isn’t that the big question here? But as we’ve seen time and time again in Hollywood, some guys like Shia aren’t always blacklisted forever — no matter what they’ve allegedly done in the past.
