Clearly not fashionable, but is it also harmful?
An animal welfare group has found no evidence of cruelty or neglect to a dog famous for panhandling outside New York City’s professional baseball stadiums.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals made the finding Wednesday.
It investigated allegations by some baseball fans and a Facebook group that the dog, named Coffee, was being abused by her owner.
Our source says ASPCA veterinarian examined the 5-year-old pit bull mix on Wednesday at her home in Queens.
He says Coffee performed tricks on voice command, without coercion. She held a pipe in her mouth, gave her paw, and stood up. Her costume did not appear to hamper her movement.
