Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia is urging officials in Canada to end the country’s controversial seal clubbing.
Thousands of seals are clubbed to death every year as they migrate from Greenland to give birth on Canada’s ice floes.
The Torn singer has spoken out to back a drive by PETA to ban the annual slaughter of seals in the North American country.
Stars including Paul McCartney, Iggy Pop, and Ke$ha have already voiced their support for the campaign, and now Imbruglia has joined them.
She tweeted:
“Show love & compassion & pls (please) help PETA.”
