Everyone knows that many cosmetics companies use cute little animals in testing their products; putting them through torturous trials.
So many choose to buy from a brand that sports “cruelty-free” on their packaging.
But apparently that doesn’t mean anything.
An administrator for the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics said:
“The F.D.A. says on its Web site that companies can make any claim about their animal testing policies because there is no regulated definition of what is cruelty-free.”
So PETA and the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics have partnered to check companies themselves and apply a bunny logo to their products so people know their products truly aren’t tested on animals.
So the only real way to try and get some change would be to lobby the companies, but when literally every company is doing it, it seems a pretty daunting task.
The animals need a hero.
Hopefully someone can step in and save all the little lab critters.
