Sigh… it’s always such a sad day whenever we see a queen’s heart break.
As you know, we discussed the second big split between Katy Perry and John Mayer on Tuesday, noting that sources say KatyKat’s still leaving the window open.
But it sounds like her heart might be getting the best of her here as more details have come forward, explaining Katy’s recent unhappiness in the whole situation.
After a margarita-filled Montana getaway in early March, John and Katy began spending a lot of their time solo once they got back to El Lay.
Over St. Patty’s Day weekend, KtP even hinted at turmoil, tweeting:

Now, the lyrics of that song so perfectly put include “I want you so much, but I hate your guts I hate you.”
Umm… ding ding ding!
A friend also reported recent signs of withdrawal from Katy — a common symptom of the peppermint princess whenever there’s a change in her love life.
According to them, “she didn’t mention him at all” in recent conversation, a seemingly strange occurrence for the usually giddy girl.
Of course, both reps refuse to comment on the situation, leading us to believe that window of hope we’re hearing about is true on both sides! That, or they’ll just never officially comment on it…. (boo)!
But time and photos will soon tell if they don’t!
And hey, if it’s ultimately for the best (which it very well may be as John is a notorious womanizer), then let us celebrate this blessing in disguise as we simultaneously wish Katy all the healing hearts in the world!
