Los Angeles Sushi Chefs Plead Guilty To Buying And Selling Illegal Whale Meat At Restaurant That Prided Itself In Torturing Animals!!

Los Angeles sushi chefs plead guilty to buying and selling illegal whale meat out of a Santa Monica restuarant!
Kiyoshiro Yamamoto and Susumu Ueda are two sushi chefs who plead guilty to a pretty serious crime in the world of seafood: buying and selling illegal whale meat!
The chefs were previously employed by the now shut down Santa Monica restaurant The Hump.
The two chefs each plead guilty to three misdemeanor charges in exchange for giving evidence against their former employers.
The restaurant sounds like it was an absolutely AWFUL place where animal cruelty was the norm.
Louie Psihoyos, director of The Cove and head of The Oceanic Preservation Society who lead a sting operation against the restaurant, said:

“[The restaurant was] killing live turtles at the table and draining blood into wine glasses for customers. The evil that went on in that kitchen was beyond comprehension. They even had a sign on the door warning that if you didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to see animals suffer├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥don├óΓé¼Γäót sit at the sushi bar.”

That is absolutely horrific!
We’re so glad that place was shutdown!
Now the two chefs are facing a $5,000 fine and 200 hours of community service.
With the maximum sentence of three years in federal prison, they’re lucky they don’t get any jail time!
