You Think It's Icky, James Franco Thinks His Attempt At Picking Up That 17-Year-Old Over Instagram Was Totally OK!

Well this is something we just have to hear!
Even though it was totally icky and awkward, James Franco thinks his attempt at hitting on a 17-yaer-old girl over Instagram was no biggie!
In fact, James thinks he was a gentleman!
While visiting Howard Stern, James tried to explain why all this is nothing to be bothered by:

“Seventeen is legal in New York, but that being said, it’s still pretty damn young. They make it out like I’m pursuing young women. I’m not going to high schools looking for dates. I’m leaving my work and they’re coming there. So, I’m seeing attractive women.”

Still…17??
The convo should’ve stopped when he heard that little detail, but it didn’t.
However, he thinks his Instagram messages to the Scottish teen were nothing but polite. (Does he remember asking for her hotel??)
He reasoned:

“I saw her and she said on her page, ‘I love James Franco! Blahblahblah. ‘Well, OK, you look interesting. I don’t know how old you are. I was a gentleman. I said, ‘Do you have a boyfriend?’ And her response was, ‘Not when you’re around.’ So that to me sounds like, OK, she’s interested.”

But still├óΓé¼┬ªhe DID find out she wasn’t yet 18 years old and STILL continued the convo.
You’re a big Hollywood celeb, we’re sure there are plenty of other ladies you could pursue who are out of high school.
