When Nicki Minaj speaks, she speak only positives about women and that’s a fact!
After the Pills N Potions rapper’s inspiring (and odd) acceptance speech at the BET Awards, many were speculating if she dissed fellow nominee, Iggy Azalea in a line where she referred to herself in third person!
News flash: she wasn’t!
Obviously tired of all the speculation, Nicki took to her Twitter to clear up the whole thing!
She said:
The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us!

I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS

I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud.

That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up & coming females to do that.

There you have it!
It’s hard to believe that Nicki was shading her peer when she was outrightly preaching about women writers in the hip-hop industry!
Shame on you for assuming the fiesty rapper for talking smack about Iggy!
