The general public all thought she was being serious, when the stunner was clearly joking! That silly gal — why would anyone throw away all of their sweatpants just for a man?!

As the world mulled over the anti-factual fact that sweatpants are the number one cause for divorce — as told to Extra by Eva — Ryan Gosling and his baby momma took to their personal social accounts to calm the distressed citizens of the world!
The Drive actor went on Twitter to reveal that he himself wears the comfy lounging pants:
Obviously sweatpants thing was a joke. Wearing them now. That’s right, tweeting in sweatpants. Rats! Said too much! You win again Twitter.

While the Hitch actress went on Instagram to show off her favorite pair of sweats and apologized to them profusely!
In that apology, she named another culprit in breaking relationships — orange crocs.
She shared:
Dear favorite pair of sweatpants. I was just kidding when I said you’re the #1 cause of divorce. Everyone knows that orange crocs are the #1 cause of divorce. Either way it was a bad joke and feel terrible if you or anyone thought I was serious. Thanks for understanding sweatpants. Sorry orange crocs.

We think it’s safe to say the world is on board with the idea of crocs causing divorce more so than sweats!
Crocs may be comfortable and adorable on babies, but for the love of God, get rid of them if you have them! LOLz!
