We were absolutely devastated to learn about the shooting Thursday at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.
A gunman opened fire on the school’s campus, killing as many as 10 people and injuring 20 others. This terrible tragedy is one of many in the United States this year alone.
The shooter was reportedly killed in a firefight with authorities who were responding to the 9-1-1 call.
We aren’t the only ones whose hearts were broken to hear about this sad, senseless act of violence. Celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Eva Longoria took to Twitter to express their grief and share their condolences, writing:
I can’t imagine what the families of UCC are going through. The world is rising up to hold you in the light. I hope you can feel our love.

This isn’t the first time the comedian has tweeted about a such a scary situation. In July, she responded after a gunman targeted a screening of her movie Trainwreck.
