Does Alec Baldwin suddenly have a more legit defense in the new assault case against him?!
Law enforcement sources are suddenly souring on the supposed parking space assault story, as first reported yesterday, according to a new post up at TMZ — and what Baldwin did may not even be a crime at all! Well then…

Sources say that the man who swooped in and took Baldwin’s apparent parking space — Wojciech Cieszowski — told cops that the actor struck him “with his hand,” which may mean a slap (and not a punch!) and thus perhaps a less serious form of assault.
Video never lies, though, and there’s apparently (very grainy) security footage video that purports to show the incident, as well. According to sources, that video appears to show a shoving match rather than an all-out assault… but the poor video quality makes it difficult to determine what’s really going on.
Regardless, the shoving may prove key: if the two men were mutually shoving each other, Baldwin could make that case to police and plead down that assault charge considering both men would be at fault. Video may prove VERY important here, in other words.
We’ll update and report back as we hear more, but for now, at least, it seems that things may not be quite as they initially seemed upon first report… Thoughts, Perezcious readers?!
