Alex Rodriguez is so freakin’ sweet, we literally can’t even handle it!
The 44-year-old retired baseball player is living vicariously through his incredible partner Jennifer Lopez right now, fresh off enjoying a Sunday evening out at the Golden Globes. And while J.Lo didn’t come away with a win for her role in Hustlers, she did come away with something better: an incredible show of support from her man.

Writing on Instagram after the show, the former New York Yankees star lauded his 50-year-old love, showering her with compliments even though she came up short in the running for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. (BTW, Laura Dern ended up winning in that category, beating out Lopez as well as Kathy Bates, Annette Bening, and Margot Robbie for the honor.)
Alex’s amazing post dedicated to his better half came just hours after the Globes, in which he wrote an incredible, inspiring message:
“Jen, it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion. To millions of young women who have watched you and have been inspired and empowered to do amazing things in their lives, you are a champion. For countless musicians, dancers, actresses, and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success, you are a champion. To your children, your family, your coaches, your staff, and your extended family, you are a champion. To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion. And don’t you ever forget it. ❤️❤️❤️”
OMG! That brings a tear to our eye… it’s seriously SO sweet!!!
Then again, A-Rod was in some kind of amazing mood the entire night!
Earlier before the show, out on the red carpet, he shared a pic of him and Jen (see it at the top of this post, above), and added the funny caption:
“Head of @jlo security, reporting for red carpet duty!”
LOLz!
Putting her front and center… the star of the night, just like she should be!

Even hours before hitting up the red carpet, the former star shortstop was hyped up (and nervous) for his girl.

Awww! What a good guy… we love it! Even though Jen didn’t walk away with an award, she definitely STAYED winning with her man by her side last night!
