Bummer!
A sprained thumb may prevent Alex Rodriguez from playing in the last regular season series at Yankee home turf this week against their rivals, the Boston Red Sox.
He received a cortisone shot in his injured left thumb on Monday, but doctors have told the the third baseman he can’t swing the bat.
A-Rod has only played 4 games since July 7 because of injuries, but it sounds like NOT playing will hurt even more then his thumb would if he did play, as he explained:
“The one thing is, it├óΓé¼Γäós so frustrating to come here, it├óΓé¼Γäós the last time we come here for the regular season. It hurts like hell just to sit on the sidelines watching.├óΓé¼┬¥
The trainers believe his thumb will heal in a few days time with proper rest. We say sit out and rest up for the playoffs!
