Mel B is not having the easiest time on America’s Got Talent!
The former Scary Spice had a fright of her own getting booed on her first day!
Well now it’s happened again! The Brit reportedly buzzed a stand up comedian for telling a joke about black taxi drivers being more fun.
We didn’t hear the bit, but apparently it was too spicy for Mel! She said:
“I found it really offensive. There was no need to do a stereotypical black joke. It was not funny.”
But co-judges Howard Stern and Heidi Klum disagreed- and so did the audience!
Jokes about cultural differences can definitely ride the line. But if they’re in good taste and celebratory, then we really do need to keep an open mind!
We don’t know if this was funny or not, but it sounds like Mel B was all alone in getting offended. Maybe her finger is just too far from the American pulse?
